It provides modern rooms, some of which feature a wood burning fire and private outdoor spa. In between a house move, we needed a nights accommodation. This was the ultimate choice. It was peaceful and quiet, well decorated, comfortable with great beds and a good shower! The best choice we could make. We will be back!

The owner provides everything you need for a nice stay, answer questions instantly. You can see that they thought about every detail to make you feel at home and welcome. The breakfast was the very best I've ever had for continental. The owner Mary is a beautiful warm friendly lady and makes you feel comfortable and at home. I would recommend this place to anyone

Close to many attractive spots, such as mangorei trails, Pukeiti garden. There is a nice bath tub on the decker, from which you can see the valley while taking bath. The lodge is well designed with open access to outdoors and with privacy. The facilities are new and clean. Breakfast is Ok.

Located in the heart of New Plymouth, walking distance to the city's finest restaurants, art, retail and business precincts. The State Hotel is a 15 room boutique hotel and only a 5-minute walk to the New Plymouth Coastal Walkway. I'm so glad that i chose this hotel for my stay in New Plymouth. It was definitely the best hotel on my trip. It has high-quality furnishings and a great interior design. The fragrance alone when you enter the hotel is great. Good location for Restaurants and visiting New Plymouth in generell. Free Parking lots and fast WLAN aswell.
