Our stay at Puerto del Cielo was one of those experiences that stay with you. We stayed in an apartment with a balcony and outdoor bathtub, perfectly positioned right on the beach — the sound of the sea is constant, soothing, and unforgettable. The owners, Randy and Gill, are exceptionally attentive hosts. They always go the extra mile and offer help in any situation — in our case, they kindly assisted during a brief health issue, which we appreciated deeply. Their warmth and genuine care make this place truly special. The breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and full of flavor. The whole setting is all about blending completely with nature — you’ll see lizards walking across the terrace, feel the sea breeze, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the surroundings. Don’t come here having five-star ultimate luxury demands — come for something far more valuable: authenticity, calm, and a feeling of being exactly where you belong.

A Dreamy Getaway at Casa Mia El Cuyo My stay at Casa Mia El Cuyo was nothing short of exceptional. This charming hotel nestled in the quaint beach town of El Cuyo provided the perfect retreat for our vacation. The beautifully designed rooms are cozy, comfortable, and exude a sense of serenity that truly embodies the spirit of the town. The staff at Casa Mia went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and always eager to assist with any needs or recommendations. The on-site breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of dishes to choose from, including some delightful local options. The hotel's prime location allowed us to easily explore El Cuyo and its stunning beaches. We appreciated the tranquility of the area, which is far removed from the hustle and bustle of more touristy destinations. After a day of exploring, it was a pleasure to return to Casa Mia to relax and unwind. I cannot recommend Casa Mia El Cuyo enough for those looking for a peaceful, authentic experience in the Yucatan. The cabins were amazing and really comfortable! They are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed is comfy and the net does protect you from any mosquitoes which might have gotten into the room, although I didn’t see any inside (there were many outside, but repellent kept them at bay). The staff was friendly and ready to help, and they lent us beach chairs and an umbrella to use at the beach. The pool was slightly cold, but still quite pleasant and clean! The Wi-Fi works perfectly well for working remotely, and there are sufficient power outlets inside and outside the cabins. On the TV there is Netflix and other streaming platforms. There is also a temazcal (traditional sauna) which works on scheduled days and can seat large groups. There is no kitchen inside the cabins, but there is a fridge to keep food fresh, and there is a shared kitchenette with an electric stove, near the site’s entrance, and the staff can lend you a pan to cook a quick meal. Hot coffee is prepared and served for free twice a day. There is sufficient, safe, and convenient parking space for all guests, and the staff lends you a little trolley so your luggage can be carried around easily to your cabin without getting soiled with sand. I would definitely recommend it to any traveller, and I will surely come back with my family one day! The property has one pet-friendly cabin only, so if you are coming with your pet it’s worth booking and letting them know in advance.

Everything about La Casa Cielo was perfect. From checking in with the maestro to our gorgeous room with huge, comfortable bed and great A/C. The views from the hotel were incredible and we very much enjoyed eating our breakfast looking over the beach and sea. The pool was lovely and great for a cool down. There was a private beach section with comfy sun loungers which was basically on the beach front from where we enjoyed many cervecas. The staff were all fantastic. We enjoyed that there were no plastic bottles used and instead a water refill station with hot and cold water. Definitely the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
