An exceptional staff; always eager to go the extra mile (or 1.6 km) to help. Although we did not have a lakefront room, we had an enclosed balcony that gave us a view of the lake and the Alps. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. In my 11 trips to Italy, there was only a B&B in Rome that I thought this highly of. You will not be disappointed.

The location is stunning, house was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished and the beds were so comfortable. The house and kitchen are very well equipped. There was food and drink for us. This is the best experience of customer care we have ever had. I would certainly return as it felt like home from home. Even their daughter Elena was helpful and friendly. Set within 42 km of Circolo Golf Villa d'Este and 46 km of Como Borghi Train Station, FORESTERIA GUESTHOUSE CA' DEI BACHITT offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lierna. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The guest house features family rooms. I could not recommend this place enough to stay if you are coming to Lake Como. Ideally located, you can walk 5 minutes to the train station and easily get a train two stops to Varenna and then travel around from there. The owners are both very friendly and helpful - they allowed us to check in early when we arrived. Our train back to Lecco was cancelled when we were leaving and the owners drove us to Lecco with no charge! The Rooms are extremely clean and spacious. The room design is modern and very comfortable, and they are cleaned each day. It is genuinely fantastic for the price you pay. We ate in the hotels restaurant on our last night and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

The entire stay at R&B al Lago was amazing, from checking in early, the hotel, breakfast, and Roberto's kind nature. We loved it! Bonus points for having ample, on site, parking! Roberto also made us reservations for dinner at one of his favorite places.
