Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstadir provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay in the Hengifoss lodge. It's a dream to stay here. Once entered you're greeted by the warm smell of ember caused by the wood that was used to make this house. The colours and the layout of the room is incredibly cosy. The fireplace keeps the house (almost too) warm, and the window + terrace give an exceptional view over the lake and mountains. The hosts are also amazing and gave us the feeling that we're not only welcome, but also that they really understand why we chose to go to Iceland. We asked for help with our fireplace and the host, Isabelle, came to the rescue. She tried to help us to lit a fire but to no avail. We did however have a really good conversation. However when she left, we were content enough. Yet still she knocked on the door and winked us to come over. She told us enthusiastically that the Northern Lights were dancing and fully visible, we had to come outside! The next morning it was kind of raining, a little bit. But the sun was also shining through the clouds. The husband, Steff, called me when I was standing on the terrace. He said: "There is a rainbow there!" and pointed towards slightly behind the house I was standing in front of. I walked to the side and indeed saw a beautiful rainbow. This might not say much to other people wanting to stay there. But to me it feels like these people have such a connection with Iceland, its beauty and understand that we are there for the same connection, they told us to look at beautiful views which Iceland offers, and we were delighted to follow their guidance. Thank you Isabelle and Steff, for the warm welcome. Whenever we're in Iceland and planning to go near Eggs, we will definitely make use of your beautiful little houses.

Set in Egilsstadir, 5.9 km from Hengifoss, Hengifosslodge Skáldahús has a private beach area, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The property has lake and garden views, and is 45 km from Kirkjufoss. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. I loved the setting. The kitchen was well equipped.. you bring the food, and they have the prep and service items needed.

Activities such as skiing, cycling, walking tours can be enjoyed in the surroundings, and guests can relax along the beachfront. The bed and breakfast has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. Perfect relaxing and affordable spot, plus the owner is amazing, definitely highly recommend it 😀😀

Some accommodation includes a flat-screen TV, as well as air conditioning and an outdoor dining area. At the holiday home, all units have bed linen and towels.

The holiday home has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. The cottage had everything you could need - a shower with great water pressure, a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen, blackout curtains, and more. We were really happy to stay here and would definitely recommend it, even if it takes a few extra miles to get there! 😊

Situated in the coastal village of Breiddalsvík, Hotel Breiddalsvik offers a large terrace with an open fireplace and rooms with a satellite TV and work desk. The Icelandic Route 1 Highway passes right by the hotel. Excellent hotel where you have a jacuzzi, Sauna as well as a room/lounge with a microwave, kettle , a dishwasher and plates/cutlery to eat quickly I'm the evening. The receptionist had great tips and it is a great place to stay !
