We are within 8 minutes walking distance of the archeological excavations of Tayasal and 15 minutes walking on shady trails to the beach El Chechenal. The Guatemalan man who works there is incredible. I wish I had caught his name. He was so nice and helpful during our short stay there. A very peaceful hotel with views of the water and a lush garden. I didn't see any toucans but my partner saw one perched next to one of the rooms in the morning. We had the traditional dinner with eggs, fried plantains, beans, cheese, toast and fruit- it was delicious! We had the same for breakfast and it was the perfect meal to get us through Tikal. The prices for the room and the food was all reasonable. There is an extra charge to use AC but that's across the board in the area. Highly recommend!

It's a beautiful property right on the lake, easily accessible from Flores and Mario was always on hand to pick me up immediately. It's a family run place and they are very attentive, kind, and have put huge effort into making everything comfortable, clean and inviting. The deck with hammocks is great to relax looking out over the lake and Flores.
