The hotel is run by Gershon, Martha, and Ingrid. They are really friendly and help you when you need anything. They are the only locals who run a hotel there, all other hotels are run by foreigners or from the city, personally it made the experience better The food is good and portions big. The room is big and had WiFi, the beds are comfortable. The hotel is basic, but you are in the jungle. The problem with te toiletseats will be solved soon 😉 The hotel is located at the Rio dulce River and you can enjoy the sunset at the hotel or just take one of the kayaks.. We loved this place. The staff, bungalow and common areas were amazing as well as the family dinners. We also appreciated that there weren't too many guests as it made the stay more intimate. We will be back soon!

The whole experience was next level. The accommodation was a dream, the staff was superb, and the meals were unbelievably delicious and hearty. Booked only for one night, so next time, I will also take some of the great tours they offer (e.g., the sunrise kayak tour or a hike to the waterfalls nearby). I warmly recommend this place!

La Isla Dulce is the best accommodation we've ever stayed at. It lacked nothing! Everything was built with such attention to detail. The food was delicious (very good quality!!), our room was a dream and the couple Darja & Douglas and the other staff were as warm and helpful as you rarely see. We had the best shower here and everything was clean and comfortable. Our stay was the perfect end to an incredibly wonderful trip. We would have loved to stay longer, as it felt like a spa retreat. Thank you for everything!

I loved the horse-riding and the swimming pool. The sunsets from the beach were stunning. The reception staff were very caring & helpful with my onward journey. Very handy having the laundry service and great to have a lovely hot shower after staying in hostels. Great size pool.
