The weather was perfect, enhancing both our beach and pool experiences, which were equally delightful. What truly made our stay memorable was the incredible staff. Kind, helpful, and full of humor, Abd Al Raheem, Ahmed, Yahya, Abdo and the entire team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Located along its own private beach, Gemma Resort offers views over the Red Sea. It features indoor and outdoor pools, and wellness centre. Several restaurants and bars are also available. The resort offers free WiFi in the lobby. The staff was super friendly, polite and accommodating, sadly we only had one night… but they made sure to make it a memorable one. We had sun beds reserved for us on the beach, dinners sorted out at their beautiful and delicious restaurants, and the room was perfect to wind down in! Couldn’t ask for a more pleasurable and relaxing stay which is just what we wanted!

Arabic and Mediterranean dishes are served in the elegant restaurant. Overlooking the beach, the Pool Deck bar offers light meals and drinks. The hotel is beautiful, very nicely designed. The room was very specious and nicely decorated with a great view of the pool and the beach from the balcony. Nice bedding and towels and a very comfortable bed. I loved that we were given soft drinks and juices in the room after we checked in. That was a nice touch. There was a great selection of pools. My kids loved the salt water lagoon which is huge and the lazy river. The Olive restaurant was delicious. The Indian dishes were authentic and so tasty. We loved the freshly baked Egyptian bread for breakfast. And of course, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great service everywhere in the hotel. We loved how the fish came all the way to the beach and it was also easy to walk out on the pier to the snorkeling area.

There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Our children (8 and 11 years old) especially loved the aquapark, which provided hours of fun and excitement. The beachfront location was beautiful, but with a pronounced water reflux, which could be seen as a negative thing or a positive one: an opportunity to explore the beach when the water receded. Our room was very big, nice and clean. Cleanliness throughout the resort was impressive and the friendliness of the staff made our stay even more pleasant. Our kids also really enjoyed the VR games, and the person at the VR movie area was fantastic with them. The resort itself is quite large, which might not suit guests who prefer a smaller, more compact setting. However, there are quadracycles and a shuttle bus to help get around, which made it manageable. It’s worth mentioning that the resort is far from any cities or towns, so going for a walk outside the resort isn’t really an option. That said, there is plenty to do on-site, and there are also organized excursions available, like safaris and other tours, if you’d like to explore the surrounding area. The food was delicious, with a wide variety and plenty of restaurant options to choose from. The Mediterreanean and Soprano restaurants had amazing sea views. Overall, we had a great family holiday here and would happily recommend it to other families looking for a fun, relaxing getaway.

A small but much-appreciated gesture: a welcome drink served with a delicate macaron that delighted the whole family. The staff kindly invited us to enjoy breakfast while our rooms were being prepared — a smooth early check-in that allowed us to start our stay on the right foot. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. The selection isn’t enormous, but it’s intentional: every product is fresh, high-quality, well presented, and frequently replenished. At a time when people value quality over quantity, this was exactly what we were looking for. Then, a wonderful surprise: we were upgraded to a swim-up room. Sheer joy on little Henri’s face (and on ours too, to be honest!). The room lived up to the great first impression: spotless, well laid-out, clean, and welcoming. Another lovely detail: the gentleman in charge of housekeeping personally introduced himself and assured us we could reach out to him for anything we needed. That kind of personal touch really makes a difference. Of course, we couldn’t resist a dip in the private pool. Henri jumped right in, and that first moment together in the water was simply perfect. Later on, we walked down a few steps to discover a peaceful little bar beside the adults-only pool — a quiet haven to relax for a while. There, Khalid prepared delicious cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). He even made a special effort for Henri, which truly touched us. Thank you, Khalid! For lunch, we headed to the à la carte Basilico restaurant. The beginning felt a bit off: the ambiance was cooler than the rest of the hotel, and the order taking was a bit confused (dishes before drinks?). We briefly wondered if staff roles were properly coordinated. But quickly, the service picked up pace and warmth. The team stepped in with more flow and friendliness.
