Despite feeling physically unwell in Egypt, I felt truly comfortable at the hotel: attentive staff, hearty breakfasts, and beautiful views of the Sphinx and the Pyramids. Giza is not the cleanest area in Cairo, so Sequoia is literally an oasis of comfort amid the general chaos. Yes, of course, there are many fruit and juice shops nearby, banks, and most importantly - the entrance to the Pyramids, but all of this is in constant motion and full of questions. The staff not only helped us get from the airport to the hotel (and back), but also arranged a trip to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where the driver took us in the morning and picked us up in the evening. Any other requests were also handled quickly and efficiently.

Our room, Number 222, had a perfect view of the Pyramids — from the balcony we could see all three pyramids and the Sphinx at the same time. From the rooftop (currently under construction), the property offers the highest vantage point in the area and a direct, unobstructed view of the three pyramids and the Sphinx. Hadeer was also very helpful; she kept an eye on our belongings after we checked out until we returned from the GEM. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely come back in the future.

The guest house is ideally located. The roof top offers a view on two pyramids. It is delightful to drag on there. The host family is adorable, always sincerely caring and thoughtful, always ready to help. It was our best stay at Cairo and we cannot recommend this guest house more. There is a small number of rooms, which makes everything quiet and pleasant. The street is really calm, which contrasts excessively positively with Cairo. Their generosity is immense. Your stomachs aren’t ready for this level of generosity 😛. The food is excellent, local and hand-made. The breakfasts and the dinners were really great. This place is also truly family-friendly.
