The guesthouse was very welcoming and immediately helped us bring our bags from the ferry. When we asked to change dates, they made it easy, and then when we wanted to change room it was also easy. The roof-top was a great asset with a clear view across the Nile full of faluccas and other boats. It was quiet and we slept well in excellent beds. the windows, and small balcony were great. The bathroom was adequate and clean. JJ helped us get an excellent driver, Mustapha, who spoke good english and was very attentive. Both JJ and his wife spoke good english. At first we were asking ourselves some questions about staying on an island which is still quite underdeveloped, but then we got to realize we were having an authentic experience of an African Nubian village and the village life all around. We loved the weaving shop and the spice shop near the ferryboat and made them our base. The ferryboat went every few minutes and cost almost nothing. We found good restaurants also, even one with beer and wine.

The room was spotlessly clean, with every detail carefully attended to, making us feel completely comfortable and relaxed. The location was ideal—close to everything we needed yet peaceful enough to enjoy a truly restful stay. Breakfast was a delightful experience every morning, with fresh and delicious options that gave us the perfect start to our day. We were also pleasantly surprised by the possibility of having dinner at the property, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was authentic, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A special mention must go to Mahmoud, who was always there to assist us with anything we needed. What truly set him apart was that he wasn’t just a businessman—he was a local who genuinely loves his hometown, and that passion was reflected in every interaction. Unlike many others, he never tried to push excursions or sell us anything. Instead, he adapted to what we wanted, offering sincere recommendations and making sure we had the best possible experience. The place is amazing and clean, and the view is breathtaking. Mohammed and Mostafa are very kind, generous, and genuine people. They helped us with everything from Flueca rides, money exchange, and routes. This is from now on my goto for whenever i come to Aswan.

Staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. This was the cleanest accomodation that we have stayed in in Egypt. The breakfast was great, they have a terrace with views to the Nile and they use fruits and vegetables that are home grown. One of the days we had dinner as well, totally recommended, great portions and good quality. They helped us as well arranging the transfer to the airport, the captain of the ferry picked us up and the taxi driver was waiting right after the ferry.

The guest house is located on the Elephantine island and offers a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, where one can easily walk to the Nile and spend quality time without any unnecessary noise and chaos. There are multiple restaurants and cafés at walking distance from the guest house. The room was comfortable for a good night's sleep. The highlight was however the owner and his kind hospitality. He goes out of his way to make sure your time is spent without any issues. He also picked me up from the ferry point on my arrival, and dropped me at 3:30 a.m. in the morning.
