Blue Mall is 7.2 km away and Agora Mall is 7.3 km from the guest house. Excellent location, I would say the best to stay in zona colonial. Basic facilities but best value for money. The staff is nice and welcoming.

The apartment features a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. I had a superior suite so I had a balcony that I really enjoyed. It allowed me to have great views while having my morning coffee and also enjoy the city passing during the evening when having a nightcap. The staff were also extremely friendly and tried their hardest to communicate with me and gave me stellar recommendations.

Facilities for disabled guests are also available at the property. The owner of the property was incredibly amicable. She told me about where things in the neighborhood were such as the supermarket and the infamous Boca Chica beach. She even arranged for me a breakfast to-go baggie for the road when I needed to check out of the hotel very early in the morning (2:30 am). Other positives were the quietness of the hotel, the well-maintained facilities, the large pool (swam there more than the beach!), and the delicious food prepared by the staff. And also the owner's cat was adorable, can't forget about her! (Note to guests: Please do not try to feed the cat your food even if she loudly begs for it. She has her own food and is well taken care of)

The Malecón seafront promenade and El Conde market are just a 2-minute walk from Hotel Villa Colonial. Boca Chica Beach and Las Americas International Airport are a 25-minute drive away. Villa Colonial was a great hotel. Located within walking distance of everything in the Colonial neighborhood, it was an oasis from the heat and busy streets. The breakfast was the highlight, along with the great staff. I would for sure return.
