The property is 2 km from Cocles Surf Beach and 6 km from Playa Chiquita Beach. Punta Uva Beach is 7 km away and Limón International Airport is a 50-minute drive away. Free parking is available outside the property. Really comfortable and private hotel for a great price in Puerto Viejo. We loved the size and layout of the room, the patio area and the pool was a nice bonus. It was close to everything but far enough that there was no traffic noise or music from the local clubs. Filtered water and coffee offered daily was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for a place to party that's definitely not the right place. But if you are looking for a quiet place, where you can hear and maybe see (if you are patient) wild animals, that's definitely the place to be. The location is great, far away from the party but close enough to get some groceries or to go on the beach. But the best of all is Gonzalo, the owner of the place. Outstanding facilities: A very beautiful place in nature. Modern, clean, extremely comfortable, great pool. Staff: Amazing, friendly staff who were always there to help and support. Food: Great breakfast with good options and flexibility for dietary requirements. Location: Amazing place surrounded by the forest. With an amazing beach within 2 mins walking distance (the most beautiful beach we could find in the area + barely visited by others). 15 mins car ride to Puerto Viejo. Overall outstanding place, worth every penny. Would definitely come back here! 10/10

Located within a few steps of Negra and 25 km of Jaguar Rescue Center, Casa Caribbean Coconut provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Cahuita. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant was also excellent but not open all the time. Pool was a nice area to chill. Beach only steps away.

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a concierge service and luggage storage for guests. I felt right at home at Mecca and 10/10 recommend to all. I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Tortuguero, near Tortuguero Beach, Cabinas Tortuguero Sports Fishing features free WiFi, a private beach area and a garden. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Primo and his wife welcomed us perfectly, taking care of all our needs, recommending good restaurants and a tour guide. The tranquility and atmosphere around were exactly what we needed after landing in Costa Rica.
