A Soulful Stay at Cabañas Iracas Del Mar Tucked along the serene shores of Nuquí, Cabañas Iracas del Mar offered us a retreat that felt both restful and idyllic. From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

I spent a few days at Casa Alma and had a beautiful time. The place is located in a very quiet area, suited for those who want some calm in nature, far from the city. The ocean is a few steps away. There is free use of equipment to go scuba diving which allowed me to see many fish, including rays, as well as an enormous turtle! The people who run the place and work there are very kind, always there for a chat. We also went together to an event with live music in Capurgana which was really nice. The place is simple and comfortable, it has everything you need to sleep well, cook and relax. Breakfast as well as coffee all day long is included. If you need to go shopping or visit the city, you can choose between a 10 mins boat ride (20,000 COP/journey) or a 1+ hour walk along the sea, which is exhausting but part of the experience! There are many things to keep you busy in the area and there are 1-2 cafés/restaurants just next to the house.

Breakfast was delicious, gardens were lovely for relaxing after the boat trip, rooms were nice, plenty of bathrooms, clothesline available and handwashing of clothes. The location is quiet and close to town.

Nore and Hernan were lovely hosts! Excellent value for money. Arusi's virgin beaches and remote idyllic seclusion were a dream.

Property is only few meters from the sea but by far the best part was the family could not do enough to make our stay fantastic. They took us on a walk when we arrived to get our bearings, took us whale watching and organised and provided transport for a visit to the jungle plus more.
