The new and spotless hotel is located in a remote location easily accessible by boat from the main pier in Barù. Our suite had three balconies, each facing the ocean from a different direction, sunrise from one, open ocean and shade from the other and sunset from the third one. The staff, including Oscar and Antonio, were great as well as the front desk manager, Jairo, who went the extra mile to made sure our stay was perfect. We highly recommend this place for its charm and relaxing surrounding.

It’s sooo relaxing and the owners are super friendly! Wished I could stay longer!

Hotel Calamari Baru has a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Playa Blanca. Built in 2019, the property is within a few steps of Playa Blanca. The accommodation offers room service, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. The place is located just in front of the beach. I stayed there only one night. The room was like in the photos, the food was delicious, and the staff was helpful. The pick-up and drop-off by taxi went smoothly. I enjoyed my stay. It was not noisy as indicated in the other reviews. The only sound I heard was the waves' sound. Just a little note, all these hotels are located at the beach. There is no car access; if you do not want to carry your luggage after the taxi drops you, you need to request a carrier that costs 20.000 COP (or you can request the boat shuttle, cheaper than a taxi, faster, and drops you off in front of the hotel at the beach, but your luggage and yourself can get wet :) )

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a minimarket, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The guest house has family rooms. The place is fantastic, in front of the beach, you can sit and relax. Attention was fantastic, Rosana, Manuel and Sore were very kind, very helpful, efficient and friendly, always made us feel as we were  in home. We loved the breakfast which was included. Highly recommendable place.

Right in the nature and the jungle so all sorts of animals and insects etc. if you like or don’t mind that. Bed is covered with mosquito net though so very comfy at night.

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. The island is beautiful, and its design and concept are truly exceptional . The food selection is excellent, with a 3-course meal offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The presence of animals and the surrounding nature adds a wonderful touch to the overall experience. There are always very small groups of people, and at times it feels like you have the island all to yourself. The boat ride was conducted with great professionalism and care, which I deeply appreciated, especially as I was traveling with my senior parents. This level of responsibility is rare, based on my past experiences visiting neighboring islands and resorts. But above all, the customer service was OUTSTANDING . GRACIAS to every crew member, and a special shout out to Jeison, he went above and beyond to help us celebrate my husband’s birthday.

The units at the accommodation are equipped with a seating area. My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Maggy Beach. It is just like on the pictures. A simple accommodation but everything that is needed in the hot climate: a fan over the bed, fresh water to rinse off after a dip in the ocean, a gorgeous view, and a lovely, caring staff that will make sure you have anything you want when you want it (shoutout to Wendy). A must-visit if you're near the coast!
