The location is great, it’s more quiet and calm. Easy access to boat transfers. The carribean food they make is super delicious. The hosts are happy to help with any questions!

Hotel Calamari Baru has a private beach area, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Playa Blanca. Built in 2019, the property is within a few steps of Playa Blanca. The accommodation offers room service, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. This stay was incredible and I would go back in a heartbeat. My husband is a little fussier than I am and he would not. The hot water was not reliable and no one spoke English. It was perfect for me. I didn't sleep well but i caught up at the next hotel.

Situated in Playa Blanca, a few steps from Playa Blanca, Vista Linda Cabaña offers beachfront accommodation and various facilities, such as a bar. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a minimarket, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The guest house has family rooms. We had an amazing stay at Vista Linda. We originally booked for only one night as we didn't know how we'd handle the lack of air conditioning but there is good ventilation in the cabana. We stayed for an extra night and would have stayed longer if our itinerary had allowed for it! Manuel is so kind and friendly, he was a great help in organising transport to Barú and the mangrove and plankton tours, or even just chatting and having a drink with us. Roxana is amazing, whipping up delicious food in the kitchen and keeping the place spotless. Food portions are huge and very prices for both food and drink are very reasonable. The cabana is in a good location, away from the busiest section of the beach, although be aware there are still some boats where you enter the water. We have no complaints whatsoever, everything is as described. If you are accepting of the basic facilities on offer on Barú in general you'll not have any troubles here. I doubt you'd get a better, more relaxing atmosphere for a similar price.

Above the jungle canopy, watching iguanas and bird right next to us. The sunset over the sea from the deck was gorgeous. We also loved riding bikes around the property. The room had internet and we were able to get work done. It also had air conditioning. At the resort, the food was yummy, staff polite, and spa relaxing. It was a delight

Snorkelling trips to the Rosario Islands can be arranged and downtown Cartagena is 1 hour’s drive. A perfect place to wind down. Beautiful natural setting. Delicious food. Cozy cottage. And most importantly, amazing host Olga and colleagues. It felt like in a family.

The food selection is excellent, with a 3-course meal offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The presence of animals and the surrounding nature adds a wonderful touch to the overall experience. There are always very small groups of people, and at times it feels like you have the island all to yourself. The boat ride was conducted with great professionalism and care, which I deeply appreciated, especially as I was traveling with my senior parents. This level of responsibility is rare, based on my past experiences visiting neighboring islands and resorts. But above all, the customer service was OUTSTANDING . GRACIAS to every crew member, and a special shout out to Jeison, he went above and beyond to help us celebrate my husband’s birthday.

The units at the accommodation are equipped with a seating area. My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Maggy Beach. It is just like on the pictures. A simple accommodation but everything that is needed in the hot climate: a fan over the bed, fresh water to rinse off after a dip in the ocean, a gorgeous view, and a lovely, caring staff that will make sure you have anything you want when you want it (shoutout to Wendy). A must-visit if you're near the coast!
