I just stayed overnight in the deluxe suite for 3 people in this wonderful villa. The directions received on the day of arrival were very clear. Even a video on how to open the safebox and then the doors left no doubt. I could recognize the building right away. It is an impeccably renovated and upscale privat villa from the last century. High ceilings and blackout curtains. The suite with a huge terrace with beautiful views made us feel we were in an exclusive place. The sofa bed for the third person was comfortable and large even if I wouldn't consider it suitable for 2 adults. Too bad we only stayed one night. We will gladly keep the address for a future stay. We found the price fair and was over 300 francs. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because we left early but there would be that option as well

The location is simply breathtaking and once the last ferry leaves around 5:30pm you have the entire island to yourself with the other few hotel guests (10 rooms in total). There are picturesque viewpoints all around the island in the various areas of the botanical garden, where the vegetation is assembled by world region. The restaurant, while expensive, is worth every penny. Certainly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had - an intimate, quiet, superbly delicious meal looking out over the lake to the lovely town of Ascona under the kind and watchful eye of the restaurant manager who handles all table duties alone.
