Every single thing! The attention to detail, the design, the hospitality, the views, the amenities, literally everything was exceptional. To top it off there were zebras in the estate too! But in all honesty, it was the nicest hotel / lodge I have ever stayed at. Pichy and Bjorn have honestly thought of it all and it honestly goes to show. The food, the experiences and their communication was 11/10. I would recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge to all. I really do hope that I will be back !

During our trip on the Garden Route, we wanted to go sharkdiving, so we intended to pass by Hermanus. However, upon finding Benguela on Booking, we decided to pass by Gansbaai instead. What a great choice that was! We could book a sharkdiving experience via a recommendation of the hotel and had a wonderful stay too: (i) our room had a pool view and was spacious, (ii) the property lies in a very quiet neighbourhood, so although the pool lies next to a road, there is no noise as there is no traffic, (iii) the owner Jonathan is an excellent host that manages to find a good balance between his guests’ privacy and the social angle and (iv) the dinner he cooked for us and the rest of the guests was excellent - it was also a nice experience to meet some of the other guests and hear about their backgrounds and travels. We would definitely recommend!

1. Location was exceptional 2. The breakfast was perfect, loved the home made jam 3. The view was beyond belief, I cud see whales from the common area near the shoreline 4. The hospitality was the best I have ever experienced in all iof my stays. I was dropped n picked up to restaurants as a nominal price. Had amazing conversation with Linda and uncle D{sorry i can’t remember the name :( } I could hear whales in the night and wud wake up to chirping birds. This was the holiday I needed.Even 3 nights seemed less. Thank you so much

We spent one night at a charming bed and breakfast in Gansbaai, and while the facilities are a bit dated, that didn’t take away from the truly wonderful experience we had — all thanks to the outstanding hospitality of Reginaldo. He recommended a nearby restaurant where we enjoyed lunch while watching countless whales right from our table — an unforgettable sight. Back in our room, we were treated to yet another surprise: from the window, we could watch the whales breaching and diving in the ocean. Absolutely incredible! In the evening, Reginaldo prepared a delightful dinner for us with so much care and attention to detail. The food was excellent and made with true dedication. Being welcomed by Reginaldo and experiencing such breathtaking whale sightings made our stay unforgettable

65onCliff is located in De Kelders, Gansbaai and all rooms have ocean views. Between June and November it’s the perfect location for land based whale watching.
