Full 10! Great memories. Hospitable host - Antonio. It is also worth visiting his restaurant at Rua 4. Indeed comfortable bed. Nice service, fresh and clean room. Generally no problems and no complains at all. Air conditioning in every room, cleaning as in a good hotel. Small fridge in the room helps a lot. The location itself is convenient, between the busy center of Espinho and the beach, close to every corner. you just go out of the room into the corridor, open the door and there is the ocean. wide sandy beach, safe (guarded) and not crowded (September). Refreshing water, it is not the same as in Spain or Algarve, but it allows you to cool down when the heat comes. Also a convenient place for surfers, there are even a few specialized schools. Wide sandy beach with a lot of diffrent shells to see.

The PERFECT studio exists and is located in Botica Guest House. Not only does it provide everything you need to make your stay pleasant, like a perfectly functioning kitchen and fridge, convenient room size, comfortable beds and blankets and hot shower water when you most need it, it's also located near everything in Espinho, a secret gem in Northern Portugal and the Porto area. Elisabete, the owner, handles the property personally and makes sure nothing's missing before you arrive and during your stay, and does so so discreetly you feel almost at home. Botica has a story, too. It was the old pharmacy and laboratory of the town, hence its name. Now fully renovated, the decoration and room names pay homage to the medicinal plants used for generations, taking the visitor back to what it once was in a way you'll enjoy being in a historic place that helped so many people in the Espinho area. The same family that built and ran the pharmacy is now running the Guest House so you are supporting the local economy and talent by staying here, and you do that enjoying every comfort. I was visiting Espinho for a sports competition thinking I would leave for Porto the next day. I ended up extending my stay for an extra night as I wanted more time to enjoy the outstanding beach with the ocean waves and also make me a well deserved breakfast with local products bought from a supermarket less than a minute away from Botica. Porto and Aveiro are just 25 minutes away from the property's doors and it's just so easy to arrive by train. An extra feature: Check the dishes/dinnerware if you want to discover a real piece of Portuguese quality and beauty. Thank you Elisabete and the Botica team!

In around 30 years of travelling to more than 60 countries, this is the best place I have stayed in. From the moment I entered I felt such a great vibe. The house has a unique charm with wonderful facilities inside and out. Fernando and Daniel(?) were amazing hosts and made me very comfortable. Will definitely go back

The apartments are somewhat dated, however clean and spacious. However the location is what this is all about. The hotel/apartments are right on the beach, next to the centre with al kinds of restaurants, supermarket and 2min walk from the Espinho train station. Staff is really very kind and even went to a lot of trouble to return an item to us which we forgot

Owner, Antonio, was extremely friendly, helpful and explained very clearly everything I needed to know. He has a lovely little restaurant as well, just around the corner. Staff there were also very friendly and generous. I stayed 4 nights. It's right on the beach front. Couldn't ask for more! Loved it.

Absolutely everything. The apartment is gorgeous and with high quality crockery. The building it's in is beautifully done. Bed was super comfy. Location is 5* Communication with the host was 5* The restaurant choices in the area are 5* Morning sunrise walks and evening sunset walks on the beach 5*

Right on the beach. We travelled with 2 teenagers and booked a family room which was great as it had 2 bathrooms and a sliding partition between the 2 bedrooms so we could choose whether to have it open or shut. It also had 2 balconies and was nice and spacious. Good pool with great views too.
