The absolutely best motel during my trip in South Island. They have very large rooms and the facilities are well equipped and fantastic lake view.

Set in park-like grounds on the shores of Lake Te Anau, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers has both mountain and lake views from the majority of the rooms.

Amazing! Stayed in the yurt! It was so cute with fairy lights and a heater.

Location of motel was great, walking distance to town and lake. Chairs provided outside for sitting with morning coffee / drinks, generally chilling, taking in the views. Excellent kitchen provision. Great shower ! Very helpful staff , although the reception wasn’t manned at all times, you could still contact them by phone. Room seemed newly modernised.

Personnel in the reception was polite. The property is FAIRLY priced for what it offers. Renovation is necessary in the bathroom BUT there is no problem at all.Beds are comfy,towels,soap etc is provided Taking into consideration the pricing i am happy of my stay. There are many TOXIC and bad reviews for no reason. If you want more pay more and stay somewhere else. cheers
