It is a beautiful semi-secluded sanctuary perfect for travelers who enjoy peace and quiet and nature, and who are interested in trading a few luxuries for a more authentic and eco-friendly stay. I stayed in los chocoyos for more than a week because I kept on extending my stay. This hostel is such a special place and was a real comfort zone in the middle of nature paradise with warm hearted, kind, helpful and open people all around. I appreciated everybody who worked there so much, i would love to come back. Location is amazing, directly at the water, you can rent out kayaks and do tours. The food is delicious and very affordable. The atmosphere is very tranquil and invites for a good time out and relaxing. You have the great opportunity to get to know the nica culture better through the people living around and working there, it's a community feeling.

La Sirenita is an amazing place to stay. It is a hidden gem right on the lake. It is very peaceful with the most beautiful sunsets on the island and a great and affordable bar just next door - take a walk on the beach. It is a simple accommodation with all the basics you need. If you love nature, camping and being surrounded by animals - this is the place for you. We especially loved Moka, the dog who will follow you around and provide loads of protection. The staff were so helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and very reasonably priced. It was so affordable! I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

The owner was very accommodating and waited up late for our arrival after we were delayed. He also gave us some helpful tips and tricks for Ometepe and good recommendations. The place itself is pretty basic but all we needed and very good value for money. Lovely veranda with views of the lake and hammocks to relax in.

Great location close to everything we wanted to do in Ometope - great beach just a 20 second walk away, visit el pital and the nearby hostels which was walkable, and a few tiendas and shops nearby. Room was very cool and also had two fans. Good price and nice staff.
