Beach Hotels in Bacalar

We loved our stay at Villas Ecotucan! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the natural surroundings were beautiful. Perfect place to relax and disconnect (even on a very rainy day like the one of our stay). Dinner at the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, it was delish! Canoeing around the Bacalar lagoon was also a top experience; overall highly recommended!

We had an amazing two night stay! The beach in front of the property is gorgeous. There are hammocks in the water, swings, kayaks, paddle boards, and chairs in front of the water. The rooms are amazing and so comfortable with Netflix, air con, mini fridge, shower with hot water, etc. One of the best parts is being able to use the scooters to go all over town which is included. The property is out of the town but by having the scooters, it makes it easy to go into town. The property is super clean and the workers are very nice. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning and includes a sandwich, fruit, and pastry. It's basic but good. You get one coffee pod to make in your room per day which is good. If you want you can purchase more. Each day they also restock your mini fridge with two beers, two waters and two sodas. They also clean your room daily and the property is kept very clean. This was definitely a splurge for us but if you use all of the amenities it can be worth it.

breakfast was good on both the days. there's always scrambled eggs, cheese slices, sliced luncheon meat (deli), oj, coffee, fruit bowl, bread, jam, butter, amazing corn bread, muesli, yogurt and a toaster to toast ur bread. the views are special here and the waters are perfect throughout the day and early night too. not deep at all so safe for everyone. Beautiful hotel with amazing facilities. Rooms are big and very nice. The sun deck and pool area is gorgeous and the views stunning. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Overall a great stay and I will definitely be back!

Realy nice place to stay for 1 week

This is little heaven at the Bacalar shore. Beautiful and spacious cottage for a family of 4 situated in a lush garden with private access to the lake. We spent 2 lovely nights and can highly recommended!

We had the most amazing stay at Villa marilu! Highly recommend as a must stay! We stayed here2 nights on honeymoon location was spectacular right on lagoon and Edwardo service was so amazing - nothing was too big or too small to help us with or give recommendations on.

We arrived very early, 6am and the hotel were very accommodating and provided us a room straight away. We had booked a room with sea view. The wi-fi was not working upon arrival and shortly after checking in we were offered a room on a different floor, the WiFi was working on that floor but the view from the room was amazing. I woke every morning to watch the sunrise during our three day stay there. I would definitely recommend a room with view of the lagoon. See attached pictures of sunrise. The staff have a basic grasp of English and it was more than my Spanish but they were very helpful and where we couldn't understand each other we used Google translate. We had meals in the restaurant, the menu was changed whilst we were there and compared to other places nearby the cost was slightly cheaper. There is a small pool and some seating by the lagoon, it was nice to sit by the lagoon and watch the boats go by and also there was a bit of a breeze there. It was very hot and humid during our stay so the breeze was much welcomed. Our room was a good size, we had two double beds. The air-conditioning was much needed at some times to cool down and worked well. There is a smart tv although we didn't really use this much during our stay. Taxi was arranged for us to go to the bus station when we were leaving. Overall really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a 20 minute walk to where we had arranged a boat trip of the lagoon and less than ten minutes by taxi to a supermarket. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay if we visited again.
