Roshan Jugroop collected me from the airport on arrival, gave me a mini tour enroute to his Jugroop Beach House in Baie Du Tombeau Road, Tombeau Bay. He came the following day and took me to the local Carrefour to stock up on groceries for the week. The location is in a quiet residential area but a short cab ride from shops and eating places. It is 25 minutes to Grand Baie (1300 Rupees). Beach access is direct and made through a secure lockable gate. Roshan gave me keys to all access points. The house is in good condition and was being fitted with new air conditioners and about to be painted during my stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the downstairs living area well furnished. There is no television but strong complimentary wifi streams uninterrupted. Downstairs is one double bed and separate bathroom. Upstairs are two rooms, one double bed with a shared balcony and master bedroom king bed with ensuite and a shared balcony. There is no swimming pool however the amazing beach is sandy coral and the water very shallow up to the reef about 350 meters out. You can fish on this beach and you will also find crabs in the shallows. However, note that the location is very close to Port Louis and a public area so privacy is limited. Ships anchor a half kilometre out. The neighbours were friendly, as were all the people met on beach walks. The road is a little bit busy and narrow to walk along but the beach is amazing, and you can walk a long up towards Cocotiers Hotel. Like all over Mauritius there are a lot of dogs around however they are friendly and from October 2025 all must be chipped by their owners. If you are looking for a typical non-immersive all beach stay this is not for you. If you are looking to experience real Mauritius at a very fair rate for accommodation, this is the place, especially a family that might be mixing holiday with work or business. Definitely hire a car if you can as exploring from here is easy to everywhere by highways and good roads.

I have stayed in Voile Bleue for 6 nights with my wife. This hotel is like a dream come true. The staff are really nice, they make you feel like at home. The gardens, the pool and the sea view are amazing. It's paradise! P.s: a warm hug to Janish who welcomed us kindly and gave us tips to visit this incredible island!

We had a lovely stay at Sakoa with our 6 month old son. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We have some lovely pictures of our son with the staff as they all enjoyed him so much. It's a lovely smaller location that allows for more personal connection and a more relaxed atmosphere than many of the bigger resorts. Rooms are beautiful and clean and the private beach is great. Would highly recommend!

The owner and Isabelle were absolutely fantastic and their messages and instructions were crystal clear. Sadly both of our mobiles could not pick up a roaming signal anywhere on the island at anytime Whilst the entrance gate is directly opposite the church the name of the property is not on the gates it is named "Elba" so it was a bit tricky to find and we spent 45 minutes locating it We loved the fact that Port Louis is a proper community with virtually no tourists whatsoever

I love everything about the apartment and more importantly, I love Mr Hedley for his uncommon support I and my wife were celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary and decided to visit Mauritius island. We were fortunate to book this apartment. -Mr Hedley was so helpful; you would think he is a family member. -He gave us flowers and drinks on arrival. -He gave us some provisions to settle with as we landed and arrived the island at night. -He showed us around the apartment. -He drove us out to the beach as far as grand baie and took us to Casela, adventure de sucre and pamplemousses botanical garden . -He told us about the island. -He gave us a list of places we could visit. -We had hearty discussions with him -He gave us every support you can imagine. I truely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the island. The location is 5 minutes walk from the beach and you can get a bus to port Louis(city centre) from just down the quiet street if you don't get a taxi. I leave you in the hands of the Angel called Hedley. You have absolutely nothing to regret Thank you Mr Hedley for the wonderful hosting and experience.

We spent our honeymoon at Le Meridien, and it was truly our dream vacation in paradise. My wife is vegan, which requires some special attention. On the day of our arrival, while sipping on our welcome cocktail, Chef Steven personally came to assure us that everything would be taken care of and that they would find suitable dining options for us. Every evening, we received exceptional attention from him and Chef Ali, who always walked us through the dishes we could enjoy. The food was outstanding. The Nomad Restaurant, where the buffet breakfast and dinner were served, represented an incredibly high standard. The staff was impeccable. Special thanks to Devraj, and the servers Romeo and Aman G. The rooms were meticulously cleaned twice a day, which was amazing. Everyone was so friendly, from the receptionists to the concierges, and room service team. The entire facility was so impressive that we couldn’t get enough of it. Five stars simply aren’t enough.
