I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hilton Yala Resort, a lovely and unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Shashi from Guest Relations, who was incredibly kind and made me feel instantly at home. Her genuine care set the tone for the rest of my stay. A special thanks to Vino, the Front Office Manager, for being so helpful and attentive throughout my visit. At the restaurant, Isuru was outstanding, always attentive, friendly, and full of positive energy. He made every meal even more enjoyable with his excellent service. One of the highlights of my trip was the beach walk guided by Chathura. His knowledge about the local wildlife and environment was impressive, and he explained everything in such a passionate and engaging way. The resort itself is stunning, surrounded by wildlife and natural beauty!! I couldn’t ask for more, thanks for everything.

Our experience was absolutely excellent in every aspect! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and the kindness and service of the staff were outstanding. Our ranger for the safaris was knowledgeable and made our excursions unforgettable. The security on site ensured we felt safe at all times. The manager was attentive and accommodating. In summary, everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Fabulous luxury lodges with very large covered decks set in a very peaceful rural setting close to Yala and close to the beach. A very calming, tranquil place to stay. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable.. The bathroom is as large as many hotel rooms in itself and the additional outside cold shower is a very unusual touch. (And the indoor shower is excellent, too.) The lodges are arranged to enhance privacy and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The roof top swimming pool has a beautiful view over the sea and the food is excellent. Monkeys sometimes visit the grounds, as do a few cows and even occasionally an elephant - though not when we were there. A wide variety of birds surround you in the trees. The manager arranged an excellent half day safari to Yala for us with a very knowledgeable guide.

My exhilarating trip to Sri Lanka was an incredible experience that will always remain in my memories. The pristine landscapes and beautiful nature of this country captured my heart. However, what made this trip even more special was our stay at Laya hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and also the place was very comfortable and quiet at night. We happened to be there during Sinhala and Tamil new year holiday, and we decided to stay an extra night to celebrate with them. We participated in their games and festivities, and it was a great new experience. We were even honored as special guests on the second night to stay in their brand new caravan. Special thanks to the hotel general manager (Mr.Wasantha) and his deputy (Mr.Dulaj) for their hospitality.

This is the most fantastic place built around the trees and natural habitat on the outskirts of Yala national park. Everything was provided, the food was incredible and we were given a trip to the fishing village on the beach for sunset in their buggy with Suraj and Tilina. It was like a mini safari. We saw crocodiles, deer, tortoises wild boar and on the beach the boys showed us where the elephants had been earlier in the day, footprints still showing in the sand. Suraj and Tilina were both young but so knowledgeable and friendly. They provided us breakfast at 4am for our Yala safari and we can't thank them, and the manager enough for making us so welcome. Will definitely stay again if we return to Sri Lanka.
