I had a fabulous time at this hotel and was very sad to leave after four days. The staff are so kind and they keep the place spotlessly clean, despite being right on the beach. The hotel and feels like a small resort. The property is very quiet and it is easy to pass time between the beach loungers and the pool. The location is fantastic, being walking distance from many restaurants while also being away from the noise of the beach bars. It is also easy and convenient (and fun!) to take the bus to Hikkaduwa, the Tsunami Museum, or Galle from the road outside the hotel. Service at breakfast is also top notch. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with easy access to amenities in Hikkaduwa.

This was the most exceptional hotels I have stayed at, not just in Sri Lanka, but all my travels. The hotel is situated on the beach with a more than spacious room and sophisticated amenities. However, what made this hotel stand out was the way the staff treated us. They were proactive in their hospitality and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant and even the MD of the Resort personally came up to me and ensured that I was having an exceptional stay.

Wow 🤩 From the moment you arrive, you’ve stepped straight into paradise. Everything here is exceptional. The rooms and views are stunning, and my bathroom had a real wow factor with double showers. This place feels like your own private sanctuary, right on the beach and away from the crowds, such a perfect location. The sunsets are absolutely mesmerising and fill you with pure happiness. Pearl Island Beach Hotel absolutely deserves its high rating. It was by far the best stay during our 2.5-week tour around Sri Lanka. The beach is literally right at your doorstep, and the kitchen is amazing—especially the tandoori chicken wrap, it’s a must-try. Peter and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Plus, for what you get, it’s an absolute steal—totally worth every cent!
