We spent a few wonderful days at Twin Waters, hosted by Andrew, and the experience was simply magical. Nestled between the river and the sea—less than 100 meters apart—the place is a true haven of peace, surrounded by stunning nature. The nearby village offers an authentic glimpse of local life: fishermen, unpaved streets, children’s dance classes, a small church… And just 2 km away, the bird sanctuary is a true gem for nature lovers. Starting at 6 a.m., the sky comes alive with the graceful flight of beautiful birds—an unforgettable sight. The chalets are well spaced out, offering total privacy. The meals, both Sri Lankan and European-inspired, are delicious and lovingly prepared by Andrew’s attentive team. The staff are incredibly caring, and the fellow guests we met were warm and inspiring, adding even more magic to the stay. A true hidden gem, a timeless escape. Without hesitation: 10/10.

We arrived very late at night, but the team went above and beyond to ask for a late dinner for us also which was really thoughtful and much appreciated. room is extremely spacious, with a large washroom that gives the feeling of staying in a private villa. The sea view from the room is breathtaking and truly adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was another highlight we requested a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, and they prepared it beautifully. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well presented. The staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Nishantha, who gave us incredible support throughout our stay and made us feel very well taken care of. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations with its comfort, hospitality, and beautiful setting. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

Basic place with a view over the water for a cheap one night stay. Food was good and they let us drink a few beers that we bought down the street offering to keep them cold in the kitchen. Overall nice stay with very friendly staff.

Near beach, 100meter. Friendly personal, boss extremely flexible and helpful regarding our early arrival and late departure. Aircondition/fan/refrigerator working, which we have experienced don’t work properly other places, with higher star ranking than here. Wi-Fi working perfekt, also in whole pool area. Silent by night, good for sleeping.

It's extremely great and cool. It's the most beautiful resort you can imagine. The nature inside and around the resort is spectacular. The kayaking experience was great. The staff are amazing. The breakfast was amazing (inc many veg and vegan options). The pool was amazing and you can relax besides it even after closing time (7 pm). The route was easily accessible without any issue. There's a tuk tuk taxi station right in front of the gate. The lunch was amazing. The rooms are with classic design and little old but clean and very beautiful with the most spectacular view.
