We stayed 4 night in this villa and our stay was more than fantastic!!! The host Shameera is such a great and wonderful guy. The villa is located in a very green garden with a lot of space around the building. You can sit on the veranda and look for hours only in the garden and you will see real nature with different flowers, trees, animals etc. It was so relaxing!! :-) The breakfast is served by the host every morning on the veranda outside and it contains day by day different local specialties with a wonderful taste. Also his hints, what to to in the surroundings and possible activities are great and useful. Thank you once again for hosting us in your small escape from normal life, Shameera. We will really come back to your villa. Promised!! :-) Best wishes George & Sabine

This villa was absolutely beautiful, it’s just been renovated to a very high standard. The whole villa has a stunning design and is very modern, it’s of outstanding quality, and extremely clean. The walk in showers are amazing, the bathrooms, bedrooms and living area are all beautifully designed. The villa is decorated to perfection, with Sri Lankan furniture and beautiful Sri Lankan paintings. You get the entire apartment on the top floor to yourself, and there is a private entrance to the top villa and a kitchen area. This villa is very private and has a lovely swimming pool in the garden. Rosa and her daughter Zara runs this property and they are wonderful, very hospitable people, they speak English and German fluently. The breakfast was delicious, with so many different combinations of Sri Lankan and continental with plenty of fresh fruits. The location is very nice and quiet, and in walking distance to the beach. Aluthgama is just up the road and has plenty of shops, restaurants, banks/ATM a good train station, and buses that run past every 10 minute. You will also love Billy the dog, he’s such a friendly dog and a big part of Sunny Villa. I highly recommend this property it’s very good value for money.

We had a stay of one night after our stay at the other villa of Shameera. Also this Villa is a great place to be, really fantastic. Once again, the host Shameera is a wonderful guy. He is so kind and polite, he helped with everything. eg giving some really good hints, what to do and what kind of activities are good to join. It was our pleasure to stay in this Villa also and also to meet such a great person like Shameera. Thank you for everything, you have done for us. The hosts are really nice and super helpful. It was my first accommodation in Sri Lanka, and it was the best start I could get: The host picked me up from the airport, helped me to get cash and a SIM card and explained a lot about the country and Beruwala with a lot of tips of what to do. The room was nice and clean and the house is right at the beach, with a big balcony facing the sea. I got amazing Sri Lankan breakfast every morning on the balcony and the hosts checked in with me regularly to make sure I have a smooth stay and to recommend things to do and places to visit. I can highly recommend the stay and would book again if I return to Beruwala.

This has to be one of my best stays in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was phenomenal, definitely the best I’ve had in my x3 week stay in Sri Lanka. Ashika, the young gentleman that runs this Guesthouse and his friend Charindu has got to be the friendliest, kindest people I’ve met during my time here, they are extremely professional, honest and speak very good English. The guesthouse is exceptionally clean, in walking distance to the beach, and the swimming pool is heaven on earth, the room was perfect with a beautiful balcony and views of surrounding area, everything was clean. As a solo traveller I felt comfortable and safe here immediately. Ashika, cooks the most delicious food ever and is always ready to help with all your enquiries. I came from a not so clean place and he did everything to help me, even getting Aloe Vera plants from the garden for my skin. I can highly recommend this guesthouse, it’s simply one of the best. I ended up saying x3 extra night here. Thank you for everything, I truly appreciated everything you did for me.

We had planned to spend 4 days in Mirissa around New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately we found ourselves in a hotel that really didn’t meet our expectations so I frantically searched online for an alternative. Being NYE not very much was available but luckily we found Anveela. Not in the area we originally planned but sooooo much better. This property is perfect for any person, couple or family who look for peaceful accommodation with excellent service. You are surrounded by a very well maintained garden but also the whole area is very green so you will see as many exotic birds flying overhead as you did in Yala national park. We had the family suite and it was so big that I honestly kept getting lost between the rooms. The beach is less than 5 minutes walk down a side street and there you will find wide beaches lined with restaurants. The waves are not too powerful and everything is perfect for families. Finally the staff. Everyone was wonderful, helpful and friendly. I couldn’t wait for breakfast each morning, enjoying delicious food whilst starring out at the garden. When we return to Sri Lanka we will stay for at least a week.
