We loved everything: the rooms were large and with beautiful design, everything super clean; very confortable bed. At one point we were the only guests (our group) since it is a small resort. The pool is amazing, food was perfect. It s best to preorder, so you don t wait. Try Tomato and Orange soup, my favorite, also shrimps, pasta, lamb.. they have a very good Chef. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The nearby Balapytia beach was so beautiful, we saw a wonderful sunset from the rocks. It was splendid to relax here after visiting the island. It was one if the 2 best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Only 5 km to River Madu boat tour. 30-40 min to Hikkaduwa to see turtles.

Absolutely worth the journey from airport. The staff were exceptional, catering to my every needs and even arranged transport into the local village for shopping. The food was absolutely exceptional. Delicious and the cook even prepared whatever I desired for meals. I would not hesitate to recommend this place, also close to most tourist activities and places to visit.

Kumu Beach is like being in paradise. Your eyes just won't get enough. The way the hotel is designed, combined with that stunning beach, rocks, and the pool are just incredible The staff is incredibly kind, from extra requests - such as breakfast on the go - to the chef coming to your table with dinner.
