This is paradise on Earth! A human-sized hotel with 13 rooms and numerous services. The staff is very helpful, always very friendly and willing to assist. The rooms are functional and decorated with attention to detail. Amazing views of coconut trees, the pool, and the Indian Ocean. The beach is very well equipped, not crowded, right at the hotel's doorstep, with sun loungers, canopy beds, and staff to monitor and assist guests. The place is very calm and relaxing. The hotel is like a secluded island in an area that doesn't have much interest in itself. The highlight: the restaurant serves excellent food, worthy of a starred restaurant, catering to all tastes at reasonable prices. The breakfast is also excellent, nothing like the bland international food of big hotel chains. The chef was attentive to our needs and tried to fulfill every wish we had. What's more, for my husband's birthday, we were offered a cake and a bottle of wine. We really felt pampered in Ahu Bay. Thanks again to all staff for this memorable holiday!

The overall atmosphere at this place was amazing. This is a home outside home. Massages were perfect, evening drinks and dinners on the beach, the local dog always guarding our doorstep during the night and many more wonderful memories of our stay. Barbara and all the staff were so helpful, welcoming and kind. You go to sleep with the sound of the waves and when you close your eyes you are looking forward for their wonderful breakfast :) We will definitely visit again next time we come to Sri Lanka.

The room was nice,Clean and included a balcony with a stunning sea view, which made my mornings extra special. Thank you Dinesh for a pleasant stay, even though I didn't use all your services, I believe they are perfect. The food was incredible, I hope I can cook a curry like you had someday. But it will probably be better when I come again.. :) The terrace has a beautiful view, the beautiful quiet beach is a few minutes walk away, the beautiful viewpoint is also a short walk. Overall, Ahungalle is a very nice and authentic. If you are looking for a quiet place and a very homely atmosphere, this is the right place.

It was an unforgettable vacation, better than you could have imagined. A luxurious villa with a pristine pool and well-groomed grounds. I would especially like to thank the entire team for their care and attention, the delicious meals from the chef, and their assistance with any questions. The transfer was organized perfectly. Our stay at Abu Bay was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. What truly sets this hotel apart is its stunning location. Surrounded by a private beach cove! Waking up to breathtaking views of the ocean was an absolute treat. Our stay will be truly memorable!

Breakfast was excellent. So was the dinner we had one night. The property was a short walk from a nearby beachfront hotel where you could use their pool for a charge and other beachfront bar with natural sea pool.

Amazing trip from start to finish. The beach hut was wonderful, the staff were fantastic and very friendly and the food was gorgeous. The bar was right on the beach so you could sip your drink while watching the sea.

The most amazing location right on the beach front. We loved staying so close to nature. The host Barbara was amazing and no request was too much trouble. She arranged a special dinner for us on the beach to celebrate our engagement. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. If we’re ever in Sri Lanka again we’ll be coming back for sure!
