When choosing a place for a great holiday, aside from the mandatory “clean/quiet/organized/unpretentious/hot-water-does-not-run-out”, we have a checklist that helps: 1) small and family run, 2) has a garden and an uncrowded pool, 3) close to the sea, but away from the main street, 4) walking distance to the nearest town, 5) good food inside or close-by. This place checks all the boxes!!! If you are anything like us, you will enjoy it greatly. When we booked, there were not many reviews - and this boutique hotel bested our expectations. The owners Paola and Dario make you feel at home, as does the main waiter in the restaurant, Pino. Most recommended! The location: you are in a garden just above the sea, 100 m walk from a little beach, away from the main road. It is also a 10-15 min seaside walk to the cozy Forio - or 3 min walk to the bus stop that takes you to anywhere on the island. (Note that if you are coming from Napoli, you can take the ferry directly to Forio. Dario was very kind - he picked us up at the ferry. You really do not need a car in Ischia.) The hotel looks better in reality than in the photos. There are two pools: one regular large pool, one thermal hot water. The pool area is separated from the hotel by a garden and the dining terrace, so you do not hear the pool sounds in the rooms. The room was renovated and clean. Airconditioning is quiet and works well. The restaurant: The breakfast and lunch is served on the garden terrrace, the dinner is in a downstairs hall. We had two lunches and a dinner during our stay, all of which were really delicious and ample. For us, the food bested all other restaurants in Ischia.

Casa Carolina has a good location. Bars, restaurants and local fruit shop are close, San Pietro beach is in 5 mins walking. And Via Roma walking street is very near too. The room is in light white colors, there is a bed with comfortable mattress and some pillows. Bathroom is clean and functional, wi-fi is good. Carolina is very friendly, she was always in touch with me. She gives you information about Ischia Porto and helps you with all your questions and needs. The room is always clean, cleaning was done once in two days. I really recommend to stay at Casa Carolina on holiday in Ischia. Cara Carolina, grazie per l'aperitivo!

We had a wonderful experience at Mavilan Resort. The apartment was very nice and cosy, decorated in a modern style with a spacious layout. The large balcony was a great bonus for relaxing, and the bathroom was roomy and fully equipped with everything you need. The hosts were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and we really appreciated that cleaning was done daily and towels were changed regularly, which is not always common in rental places. The location is also ideal — it's close to the bus station and the city centre, making it very convenient for getting around. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a great location!

The location was great: close to all Citara beaches and Poseidon spa park, but also right next to the bus station to get to other parts of the island and the port. The room was spacious and pleasant, with magnificent views over the Citara Bay. Special thanks to Francesco for his tremendous hospitality, attentiveness to all guests and homey atmosphere. We would definitely recommend Casa del Sol to everyone who plans to go on a seaside vacation to Ischia.

If you want a relaxing holiday book here. Perfect location. Amazing staff. So close to the beach. We went in July and could get a sun lounger at the beach any time of the day we went down. Hotel has thermal pool and it was soooo quiet. The bus stop is literally 1 minute walk away and the bus to ischia port is was about €2 and took 20 minutes to loads of lovely restaurants. The restaurants on the beach were fab too. This was our honeymoon and it was perfect 🥰

Location was perfect, right on the beach, with private beach and 2 sunbeds and umbrella included in the price. Beach very well maintained, the host Franco was always very helpful and accommodated my requests as I was traveling with a 4y old. From my side great value for the money, we will be going back.

Great old-school 4 star 1990s Italian seaside resort in great condition. The hotel’s private beach was great. 99% old Italian and German couples having a chill time.
