The Hostel Stories in Varkala is an incredibly friendly place to stay if you're visiting Varkala. I’ve been there for three weeks, and from the very first day, I felt at home—even though it was my first time in India! The hostel has a beautiful garden with hammocks, chairs, and fruit trees, always filled with good vibes and friendly people to chat with. The atmosphere is both calm and welcoming, making it easy to connect with other travelers while also having space to relax on your own. If you're traveling solo, I promise you won’t feel lonely! There’s also a lovely terrace where you can practice yoga early in the morning, hang your clothes to dry, or simply lie back and watch the stars at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hostel is just a short walk from the South Cliff, where you’ll find the amazong ocean, cafés, restaurants, and all the shops you might need. A huge thank you to Pintu and all the staff at the hostel—you made my stay unforgettable!

Property itsefl is very beautiful, very close to the beach. Rooms are nice and well equipped. There is very nice kitchen equipped in everything is needed (with washing machine) and living room. On the second floor you will find an amazing terrace with big table and hammocks. Breakfast is served everyday on the terrace, which are by the way delicious. Best thing of staying here is the greates host I ve ever met. Saajev is very kind, helpful and funny guy who can help you with anything you need, he can arrange the scooters and show you the neighbourhood. honestly we spent 4 nights here and had the best in India. I do really recommend to stay here, we will come back for sure.

I loved everything about Nirvaan Homestay. The location near the Helipad is extremely convenient- youre very quickly on the beach or the main street. My room was lovely with a bright balcony. Great shower, very clean. The owners are kind and helpful and the homecooked breakfast was wonderful😍 There is also a fruit stand nearby where I bought mangos, pineapples and bananas daily and was allowed to cit them in the homestays kitchen. Loved my stay at Nirvaan!

Amazing Chef with a great buffet breakfast with many western and Indian options. Staff was as good as in a 5 star hotel. Very clean with a nice pool and a fridge in the room. Walking distance to the main beach, Cliff Road AND the beer and wine parlor to buy takeaway. Loved it so much we extended our stay twice.!

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at this resort and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The rooms are very well equipped, clean, comfortable, and exceptionally quiet, allowing us to truly rest and recharge. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and very well maintained. The location is excellent — very close to the beach and also near a lively avenue full of shops, where you can find everything you might need. Having both a shop and a restaurant on-site is a great convenience, as everything is easily within reach. The service deserves special recognition. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always nearby, ready to help with almost any request. Their hospitality is outstanding — warm, caring, and highly professional. We truly felt looked after throughout our stay. Special thanks to Sruthi and Manu for their kindness, dedication, and excellent service. We loved our stay at Kerala Cottage. The location is perfect, you step out the cottage and you’re 10 steps from a beautiful beach, and stunningly warm ocean. It was great being just far enough from Varkala cliff to have serenity but also east access to all the restaurants and facilities. The major upside was the lack of others on the beach and not having to climb a cliff after a swim. All the staff and management couldn’t help us too much, it was a great stay with great breakfasts!

Everything. The location is superb. Right on the beach and between North and South Cliffs so in perfect reach of everything you could need. All the staff were friendly, cheerful, helpful. The room was clean with good storage.

A beautiful place just 50 metres to the beach. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a tasty restaurant right on the beach so you can have breakfast looking out over the ocean. All of the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.
