Beach Hotels in Trivandrum

Edwin and family were fantastic. They could not have done more for us and the apartment/house was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The location is simply unbeatable—right on the beach, perched on a hill with breathtaking sea views. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was pure magic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist without being intrusive. They even carried my luggage up the stairs by hand! Their hospitality made my stay even more special. Right next door is Lobster, the best restaurant around, serving delicious food at very affordable prices. There’s also a peaceful beach nearby, perfect for a quiet and relaxing escape. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kovalam!

Sky Palace is a fantastic place to stay. Both Wilfred and Christopher, and all of the other guys, who worked there were great. They all went out their way to make us feel at home and to help us with our every need. We were travelling with our two-year-old son. This can sometimes be challenging, but Wilfred and Christopher made sure that it was as easy as possible, they were both great with him. It is now a week later and our son is still asking about where Christopher is and if we can go and see him. If you want to travel to see local sights or travel a bit further; for example to Kanyakumari they will be able to organise a car at a very good price with a driver, who is friendly, safe and helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, Aircon that worked very well keeping the room cool when needed and a large bathroom. We didn’t have any problems with power cuts that sometimes are an issue in other hotels. The seating area outside the room with a small table was perfect for us to relax at when our son was asleep, sometimes eat food at, or to just discuss our plans for the next day. They took care of all our laundry and provided teas, coffee or food when we wanted it. Christopher drove us to all local areas in their Tuktuk at a very cheap prices, so we didn’t have to worry about what we were paying or walking down to the Tuktuk car park. He also recommended a fantastic local restaurant where you can eat Keralan Thali directly off the banana leaf which was some of the best food we have eaten in India at the lowest prices. The hotel is less than a minute walk to the beach and but a few moments from many good quality, restaurants and shops. When you want to get away from the commercial nature of the beachfront. You only have to walk a few minutes to the next set of beachs which have street food shacks . The price of the hotel is very competitive.

The host Nisha is absolutely great. She picked us up from the airport, that's a stone's throw away from her beautiful sea side abode. She graciously upgraded us to the first floor room with a sea view (i should say sea feel as the property is just a few feet away from the waves !!). The breakfast was outstanding. Must stay at Nutshell if you are in Trivandrum even for a few hours!!!

Santa Maria is the hard earned, beautiful vision of its owners who chose its unique location (close to the city of Trivandrum, right on the beach, and close to the airport) which not only ticks all those boxes for travelers but is also peaceful & secluded. Added to this, their eye for beauty and flair for creating a boutique resort, has led to a place that has many unusual & unique touches. They have found & restored old palace doors, antique windows, keys, locks, doorknobs, mirrors & lampshades and created uniquely handsome rooms filled with these beautiful old pieces, as well as all modern conveniences. Another delightful touch is that all their bedlinen has pretty hand sewing on it. We stayed in the family room (my favourite of all the rooms they showed us, highly recommend- spacious, gracious & very comfortable) overlooking the pretty gardens, with hammocks & frangipanis. They also put their love and skills into all the cooking - their breakfasts were delicious, generous & a mix of Keralan cuisine & Western breakfast- something for everyone. Ask to see photos of their rooms, as each one is quite different, and priced accordingly. Worth splurging on the one you love to look of, if you can. My second favourite was the turquoise one with its own verandah overlooking the beach.

Group of 10 people ( 5 rooms) stayed for a team get together. Everybody is satisfied with the accomodation at Skylounge. Very Neat and clean rooms & Washrooms. Clean & green surroundings. Very Near to Cliff & Beach. Guest Manager Nikhil is a Very helpful person. He has arrived near us whenever we called him for something and handled every requested arrangements neatly. He is a musician too.

Everything! Staff were lovely as soon as we arrived. Our room wasn’t ready so we were upgraded to a sea view room for the first night. We were dreading moving to our other room then but it turned out to be even better. It was tucked away on a quiet street behind the promenade. Literally a 2 minute walk from the front door to the beach and all the restaurants. It was spotless! Our bathroom was brand new and we had hot water in the shower (which is a luxury in India) The ends we’re so comfortable but pillows were a bit hard. It felt like having an apartment, there was so much room. We had a lovely balcony with a fan. Indoors we had air con and a fan, plus toiletries. We just loved the staff here. They were so hard working and always smiling when we seen them (especially Kumar) Couldn’t fault it. If we were returning tomorrow we’d stay in the exact same place.

1. Perfect Location with sea view and access to private beach. 2. The staff is very co-operative and helpful. 3. The restaurants are at the distance of 15 to 20 minutes but are worth it. 4. To visit the beach I would say that go in the morning as there won't be any rush or crowd at that time before 10. 5. The main thing I liked about this property was they didn't ask for any advance payment before we reach there. 6. They also arranged vehicle for us if you need any you can ask them for so.(charges applicable separately)
