You need some form of transportation to get around. Other than that the owners are super friendly, you can order food. The garden is super nice and the whole backwaters area is really pretty. I recommend checking out the bird sanctuary very early in the morning. He also offer to use the boat for 1000rupees/hr

After a rough journey and arriving a full day late due to a cancelled flight, I was welcomed so warmly that all the stress instantly melted away. During the week, you practically have the beach to yourself. You can swim in the ocean for hours without another person in sight. Watching the fishermen at work, collecting seashells, spotting dolphins and all kinds of birds – where do you still find that these days? And in the evenings, sitting by the water and watching the sunset is simply magical. The boulders along the shore might break up the “perfect postcard look,” but they’re essential for protecting the coast. The staff is incredibly friendly. There’s a very family-like atmosphere here, and it really rubs off on the guests too. You feel at home from day one. And if you want to explore the area, the team organize excursions for you. The food is outstanding. There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but honestly, you won’t miss them. The chef’s cooking is fantastic, and the prices are very fair. I stayed in the large room with the private pool. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive, but absolutely worth it. Waking up with a direct view of the beach and the ocean from your bed is priceless. The room is spacious, with a large dressing area, a clean modern bathroom, and a cozy bedroom. The garden is beautifully maintained, and the main pool is lovely. Depending on my mood, I spent my days by the sea, reading and swimming at the main pool, or winding down in my private pool in the evening. After my stressful job at home I was looking for true rest and relaxation, this place has absolutely everything you need. I’ll definitely be coming back — and next time, I’m staying longer.

The building is new but looks like a colonial building. It is airy with a wonderful peaceful garden and has been decorated with exquisite taste. The rooms are big and equipped with lovely balconies. A swimming pool is being constructed as well. Fresh food can be ordered and tastes amazing. The staff (especially host Arya) is very hospitable. This was one of the warmest welcome we received in Kerala! We also had to opportunity to have several heartfelt conversations with the owners (Joseph and Neethu) who are amazing people. Everyone went the extra mile to accommodate our needs and wishes. In a nutshell: the beauty and quality of a resort but with a home feeling. Highly recommended.

Our stay was wonderful! Above all, Susan's hospitality was outstanding. She helped us plan our trip, and provided us with delicious and varied breakfasts. The room was large, spacious and well equipped. Also, the place is a few minutes drive from the center of the city. We highly recommend staying with wonderful Susan.
