It was more at the heart of things and in the middle of the action than I anticipated so that was a bonus. I liked the fact that the rooms still had a traditional greek rooms style about them. Best of all was value for money especially considering the location.

Very quite place with nice beach and free kayaks. The apartment is very basic but nice and has a great view. The hosts are really nice and welcoming, taking care for everything you need. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Great atmosphere.

We had a really amazing stay with Anna, Pavlos and Dimidris who are so welcoming. Its a beautiful place, last house on the beach but part of the little village and port. It is the perfect place to just relax at the beach but also for hiking into the stunning landscapes of the Samaria Gorge. The breakfast was wonderful with amazing homebaked croissants and cakes. We really hope to come back soon.

This is an exceptionally clean and well-run, family-owned hotel. New, clean bathrooms. The level of personal attention is equal to that of a five star hotel. The hotel is just next to the beach, half of the rooms are directly facing the sea, the other half have a partial sea view. Agia Roumeli as such is a bit of a hidden gem, with a clean, turquoise sea inviting to swim, and more facilities than one normally could expect. This is due to the hikers that arrive every day via the Samaria gorge, but that mostly leave again on the 16:30 ferry.

Perfect location by the sea. It was nice to stay in nice, simple room with everything you need for short stay. Beautiful view from the room balcony to the sea. The quitest AC. Delicious breakfast in Paralia taverna.

Amazing place! Probably the best in the village. Very friendly and supportive hosts. Squeeky clean room and bathroom. Delicious breakfast - the best I had during 2 weeks in Crete. Highly reccommended!
