We spent a few wonderful days at Galini Pension and couldn’t be happier. The hotel is located close to the port — perfect if you’re arriving by ferry — and they offer private parking, which is a big plus if you plan to rent a car and explore the island. The hosts are incredibly kind and always ready to help, offering great recommendations on what to see and where to go. We had a wonderful room — the window opened to a blooming bougainvillea tree, and when the wind blew, petals would float right into the room. We also had a lovely balcony with a small table and chairs, where we enjoyed relaxing and watching the sea. Everything was very clean, cozy, and beautiful. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away — quiet, sandy, with clear water and no waves. There are also many great restaurants nearby. If you’re looking for a place that’s simple, warm, and full of heart — I highly recommend it

The host was incredibly nice, and the room was very clean and charming. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with the bus stop and port nearby, making it very easy to get around the village. There are also many delicious cafés close by. If I visit Ios Island again, I will definitely stay at Ilias’ place!

The room and the overall setting were excellent! The room itself perfectly suits a solo traveller, was very clean, with a nice balcony, great views over the port and the marina and well priced. Another key point is the location of the room which is only 5 minutes walk from the port (especially if you are arriving late at night, it can be very handy), within 10 mins max walk from the nearby beach, less than a min away from the supermarket, bakeries, restaurants and cafes. The highlight though were the hosts! Julie in particular as I was seeing her everyday when having my morning coffee was an amazing host, we had amazing chats and laughs and made me feel so welcoming! Philippos as well was great, very funny and a warm person! It’s not to say that we ended up going to the “kefene” downstairs for raki one night! They contributed significantly to what I would characterise the perfect trip and I cannot be thankful enough for this! Thank you again guys!

Perfect location for a short walk to the port. We loved being greeted by the host at the port once getting off the ferry. They offered to carry our luggage which was kind. The peaceful view of the port from the balcony made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. The host Julia was always around to help and make sure everything was running smoothly, cannot fault experience.

Perfect location, short walking distance from the port & right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars on the doorstep. Around a 20 minute walk to centre of Chora. Nice quiet area. The staff were exceptional, friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were as pictured and we had a lovely balcony area. The pool was clean and the pool area was nice and private.

Our stay was perfect, much because of this gem of an apartment. Lovely location, right on the beach and with lovely views. All amenities in the apartment and good bed. But the very best thing is the hosts, they did everything they could to make sure we got everything we wanted. We felt very welcome, and enjoyed ourselves greatly! We will definitely come back here, and give this place our best recommendations! And the place is MUCH nicer than the pictures show. June and Elisabeth
