It was fantastic. The hotel, the staff, the food. Everyone was cheerful and helpful and they couldn’t do enough for us. Even put a birthday card out on our table for our family breakfast to celebrate my husbands 60th. Will recommend going to The Beach to all our friends and we will book again.

I had been looking forward to visiting Clovelly and staying at the Red Lion for ages and after walking from Westward Ho! was a little tired but the service and the room made me quickly forget my aching body. I had an amazing room overlooking the harbour, a bath to soak in, nice dinner, lovely breakfast in a perfect location.

I loved being by the sea and being able to hear the waves. You are on the coastal path so can have a nice walk in the evening in either direction. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I had no issue getting parking at anytime. The breakfast options were plentiful and all of the options were good. I had dinner one night in the hotel and it was delicious too (Pad Thai). There is a really relaxed vibe around the place, it is open and has some of the better aspects of a hostel whilst still giving you all the luxury and privacy of a hotel. There was plenty of space in my room, towels and coffee were restocked every day. If you walk towards Bude along the coastal path for 10 mins in the evening you can sit on a headland and watch an amazing sunset.

The holiday park was fantastic! We booked two bungalows, both with a view on the sea. Reception was flexible, as we could check in and out easily. And the beach was walking distance.

The Waterfront Inn is situated in the centre of Westward Ho. The bed and breakfast has a sun terrace and views of the sea, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar.
