We arrived late in the night, Mohammed the owner helped us carry the luggage from the boat pier to the guesthouse. Mohammed also managed that we arrived easily with shuttle pick up from the airport. Everything was very clean and neat in the house. The view of our room on the top floor was spectacular. We felt like visiting a good friend. We felt very welcome and definitely will come again when visiting egypt the next time.

Owner and staff were very kind to us and our kids. Room was clean and it had a nice view on the Nile. Location was awesome, just a few steps from the ferry boat pier and minutes away from main attractions of the island.

We had the most amazing experience here. After an unfortunate mishap (scam) from a bus company in Aswan, we arrived tired, sneezy, and grumpy. Quite literally, as soon as we got here our mood turned around. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The guest house itself is clean with the most beautiful view and lots of shade. We actually ended up eating breakfast, lunch and dinner here during our stay because the food was just that good. This place redeemed the end of our Egypt adventure. A special thanks goes out to Mr Awat, the manager for his hospitality and kindness. We cannot recommend Doroka Guesthouse enough.

Amazing location on Elefantine island, amazing and kind family that made us feel at home. They even arranged us a boat in the very early morning because we had an early tour to Abu Simbel. Super recommended!

Armed was a good host, he helped us a lot during our stays, He arranged our tours and got us a nice guide during our tour to Nubien village, Unfinished Obelisk, high dam and Philae Temple. Thank you armed for your great hospitality .

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. Waking up to the view of the Nile was fantastic and we loved the bungalow style accommodation. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. The food in the restaurant was brilliant and they always gave us huge portions! We loved staying in the Nubian village and exploring in the evenings and had a lovely day trip down the Nile to Aswan stopping at all the tourist spots for sight seeing.

Kafana was the greatest host and communicated well as I was booking the accommodation and days before my arrival finalising tours. He assisted with arranging tours and transfer at a reasonable amount compared to others. The food was delicious, and his place is clean, overlooking the Nile River.

We loved to be at Elephantine island a get a glimpse of the Nubian’s people life. The house was amazing, super clean, well locales and with a great host that helped with everything we needed it. The breakfast is also highly recommended.
