This is truly like paradise! White sand, coral colored water, wonderful surrondings. The staff are really helpful and welcoming. Everyday there are different activities that you can take part in. If you´re vegan/vegetarian the options are slim, but food was still good. Staff was great and our bungalow was amazing! Enjoyed incredible sunsets every night.

dahlandia is eco sustainable village/complex of cabañas owned and run by “el profesor” (a retired university professor/ecologist) and his son Carlos also an ecologist. I spent 3 of my most peaceful days in this enchanting, authentic, unpretentious little piece of paradise in the middle of the Caribbean sea and I truly fell in love with the place, its nature and the local karacol village community..

The best location, facilities, activities and overall energy, which all falls back on great staff. The owners, receptionists, volunteers and local staff are so welcoming and make the experience fun for all of the guests. You will truly enjoy every moment of your stay here. And of course, the best food. Lots of fresh local seafood, and can't forget to mention, the bar with plenty of cocktail options open all day.

Amazing location in the Caribbean! We definitely recommend the chalet option, we loved the view on the mangroves from the bathroom, where you can admire the colourful crabs and we even spotted two raccoons passing by! They are currently expanding with 3 additional chalets. The water in front is a snorkeling paradise, with underwater plants, corals and loads of tropical fish in shallow water for as far as you can see. The water is calm and you can swim quite far out of the shore, just be sure to wear a floating jacket and buoy for safety. Also bring some protective shoes to protect yourselves and the corals, the water is quite shallow and corals are hiding inbetween the waterplants. We also did some tours with the hotel which are done with the hotel boat, our favourite is the reef snorkeling tour. It was the most beautiful snorkeling we ever done, and is only 1 km straight across the hotel on the edge of the archipelago. So magical we did this tour twice! The plankton tour is also recommended, but requires the moon to be down for more darkness, in our case at 4.00 a.m. Also amazing to see the stars at night! Lastly we did the islands tour, which brings you around the 3 main islands (Tintipan, Mucura and Islote) and a stop on each (we combined it with a reef snorkeling tour). We passed numerous hotels, but concluded El Embrujo was indeed the best choice. Seems the sea can be somewhat rougher on other sides of the islands, or less underwater life/deeper sea. The kiosk at their own pier is also the best place to watch the sunset every night, and during the day is a nice cool shadow oasis with some wind in (for me) too hot conditions on the shore. Due to the Caribbean weather probability of being more volatile, we booked extra nights to ensure we at least would have some good days. Prior to arrival the weather forecast showed rain and thunder everyday, so we were quite worried.

A true paradise, this hotel. It's a family-run business, which makes for a very authentic, charming and laid-back atmosphere. Everything is extremely clean and well-maintained. Our room offered views on the sunrise from one side, and on the sunset from the other. The food is absolutely amazing. If you're looking for a place to relax, this is it. And definitely way better than the bigger resorts on the islands, with crowded beaches blasting loud music all day long..

Bliss. Idyllic boutique tiny hotel on a tropical island. Simple but very elegant design. Such thought and care is put into everything. Excellent staff, particularly Karen. Snorkelling is great. Kayaks available. Boat trips to nearby islands. Private beach. Excellent breakfasts and amazing fish. There are no local bars or restaurants which I thought might be an issue but really wasn’t. Loved it. The most relaxed I have ever been. Ever. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Isla Mucura is truly an amazing experience. We booked a bungalow on the beach and we had our private little beach (south facing) with a stunning sunset every day. We stayed in many bungalow like hotels in Colombia but this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable one. I had great contact with one of the staff members Estefaní, she was lovely and organized a late check out.

The beach, the activities, the ocean, the staff was super helpful and nice. This place is an absolute PARADISE. I had never dreamed of a place this beautiful and amazing. The hotel is really pretty, open and full of space. It never felt crowded and it has different zones to enjoy: hammocks, chairs by the beach, open air beds with beach front to read and enjoy the sun, a bar, an activities area, the restaurant... etc etc. YOU MUST VISIT THIS PLACE.

The hotel complex is the best one on the island, nicely planned and maintained. Lovely nature with iguanas walking around, lots of exotic birds. Our bungalow was beautiful, right on the beach, with a gorgeous view. Really nicely furnished and clean. We ended up spending most of our time inside and in front of it, and didn’t need much more. The staff in the restaurant and staff cleaning the rooms were very kind and friendly.
