Great location (short drives to the best beaches in Ishigaki). The guest house is very clean and comfortable with great attention to details. But most of all, the owner couple is very kind and gave us useful local information and shared home grown fruits with us.

Base in Onnason, Okinanawa, a property with a garden, is situated in Onna, less than 1 km from Kibougaoka Beach, 10 km from Onna-son Community Center, as well as 23 km from Maeda Cape. We really loved the house - 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets, a bathroom and a kitchen + living room. Everything was super clean and well-organized. Easy parking, good location to explore the island. Very well equipped, AC in every room, good internet. Would definitely stay there again!

Located in Yomitan in the Okinawa region with Hanjapama Beach and Murasakimura nearby, Bosco Yomitan Resort Condminium offers accommodation with access to a hot tub. The apartment is spacious and has everything you might want in a holiday rental. The staff were prompt in responding. We had a minor issue and they immediately came up with a good solution. Quiet neighbourhood with shops on the main road. As we had a rental car, travelling around Okinawa wasn't an issue.

In the Naha City Centre district of Naha, close to Yachimun Street, ホテルトーマス牧志 features free WiFi and a washing machine. Fantastic location just off the main entertainment street in Naha. Well equipped, comfortable bed, good size apartment.

Offering a garden and garden view, Hotel Little Swiss House is set in Motobu, 300 metres from Sakimotobu Beach and 12 km from Nakijin Gusuku Castle. The apartment was perfectly clean and had a kitchen which was great after spending nearly 2 weeks in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and eating out every meal. We didn't have a car and were able to get around easily leveraging the bus from the airport, city buses (run infrequently) and the free shuttle bus. There were 2 bikes which were a great way for us to zip around town easily and quickly. Jurg was so welcoming, even offering to pick us up at the bus station as it was raining.

Set in Naha centre, 600 metres from Naminoue Beach and 5 km from Tamaudun Mausoleum, Coral Gate in Kume コーラルゲートイン久米 offers accommodation with free WiFi and a balcony. I rarely give a 10, but this place exceeded our expectations. It is more like an apartment building (so more recommended for families or group of friends). Staff is available but you don't necessarily have to interact with anyone throughout the whole stay (room access is provided via messaging). The room is big, clean and comfortable. There is a washing machine and dryer. Location-wise, it is at a walking distance from Kokusai Dori (the main street) and Tomari Port (to take a ferry to Kerama Islands for example). It is also at a 10-minute drive from the OKA airport and the staff provided a free-of-charge cab to and from the hotel. I highly recommend it for tourists that won't rent a car. Even though I didn't interact in-person with the staff, they proved to be extremely available and helpful in many situations when we asked for (i) an additional single bed in the room, (ii) drying racks, (iii) two cabs instead of one as we were in a group of four (so ourselves and our baggage wouldn't fit one car with the driver). Plus one of the rooms is open to all customers and has free snacks, beverages and ice cream.

Featuring pool views, ホーム ステイ ユミハ 沖縄 by バンヤン グループ offers accommodation with balcony, around 1.3 km from Malibu Beach. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Lovely quiet and private villas (so private that we did not see any other guests in passing). Location not far from Onna and no trouble if you have a car which you can’t do without if exploring the island anyway. Parking provided. We had a “villa with private pool”. Generous sized open living/dining incl tatami area and small kitchenette area with fridge, sink, coffee machine and water tank with instant hot or cold water. Living opens through glass sliders to a private patio with small mildly heated pool just big enough to have a dip and a jacuzzi which could be filled for use. (There’s also a shared larger unheated swimming pool behind the reception area.) Bathroom with double basins, seperate washlet toilet and seperate very generous sized multi function shower. Small laundry with washing machine ( we used the towel rack for drying clothes on). Absolutely awesome breakfast delivered to the villa at time of choice alternating Western and Okinawan style including many local delicacies and presented with great care and finesse by the chef. Cooked and bakery items delivered still piping hot or warm. We stayed 4 nights and no two breakfasts were the same. The breakfasts have absolutely spoiled us for any at other places in the future! Very attentive and responsive service. Special thanks to T Misae who kindly arranged lunch and dinner bookings of our choice for the day after our arrival because we suddenly realised it was a public holiday. Would absolutely be happy to stay again.
