We choose this place because it looked quiet and comfortable and we were not disappointed. We wanted to be within easy reach of the ski area at Spitzingsee and this was perfect as it's only 10 minutes up the road to the skiing. Our room has gorgeous views over the lake and at night we could see the lights of Schliersee town strung out along the lake edge. It was very beautiful. Our room (Primerl) had a small seating nook where I sat in the mornings looking out over the lake. Beautifully appointed room, simple but cosy, and incredibly comfortable beds. The area is incredibly quiet. There is a train line running alongside in the distance but the sound is very muted (and we sleep with the windows open) and I quite enjoyed the sight of the little train creeping along the lake by the forest and the call of its horn. Overall very idyllic.

Very nice host, always available and very helpful when our home train bailed out and we had to spontaneously prolong our stay. Generous help, easy self check-in, strategically perfect apartment 5min walk to train station Gmund/Tegernsee, Bus stops right at the spot and a bakery café in the same house as nice shops with beautiful traditional clothes around and much more. Welcome drink and even nespresso capsule selection at arrival. Spacious place and spacious and nice clean bathroom with tuve and rain shower, wifi provided, easy check-out. We will defo come back.
