While Boseong is well-known for its green tea plantation and attracts many tourists every year, Gangjin tends to be off the beaten path for most foreign travellers. However, Gangjin has over 1,000-year history as a tea cultivated area, and it is the place where the first Korean tea brand was created.
In Boseong, we will visit Korea Tea Museum and Daehan Dawon which is the most popular tea farm in Korea. Here, we will experience Korean tea ceremony with green tea tasting and enjoy green tea Ice-cream. In Gangjin, we will visit Gangjin Dawon Tea plantation with the stunning background of Mt. Boseong is called the capital of green tea in Korea. The green tea plantations completely cover the entire hillsides and make a spectacular scenery. it is truly amazing to visit all year round. But there are a lot more to see and experience in Boseong. If you love nature and local culture, I’d like to take you to Haepyeong Lake Trail as well. While walking peacefully along the lakeside, you can enjoy the calmness of the lake and refresh yourself in the forest. We can hike up the cart trail in Mt. Obongsan near the lake which is the historical site for quarrying flat stones for Ondol. Let's make a wonderful day in Boseong!
