Leave Tbilisi accompanied by a local guide and, in your four wheel drive vehicle with driver, ride up Georgia’s dramatic military road to Stepantsminda, also known as Kazbegi. Stop at historic sites along the way, including Gergeti Trinity Church, before proceeding to the village of Juta for the night. In the morning, you’ll undertake a 5-hour easy trek towards the Chaukhi Mountains.
Every day during the summer, from May 1 to October 31, our buses depart from our Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) headquarters and travel to some of the most picturesque locations in the area. When it comes to transportation to Truso Valley, Juta, and Darial Gorge, our buses are the most economical and convenient choice. A transfer service is provided by buses. At 2200 meters above sea level, Juta is one of the highest mountainous locations in Georgia. People come in hopes of conquering the breathtaking Chaukhi Mountains and soaking in one of the best views in all the Caucasus. From Juta you can hike to Chaukhi Lake, Chaukhi Pass, Abudelauri Lakes or Roshka, Shatili and even Tusheti.

Our buses are the most convenient and also the cheapest option to get to Truso Valley, Juta and Darial Gorge from Kazbegi (Stepancminda). Buses are a transfer service. You do treks on your own.
Truso Valley is the most beautiful valley in Georgia. Truso Valley is a magical place with magnificent mineral springs, a rapid river and natural “pools”. In the valley, you can do on a delightful trek (22 km of the flat route) through the Kasari Canyon, the abandoned village Ketrisi, two monasteries (women’s and men’s) to the Zakagori Fortress and the border with Russia, where the Georgian military base is located. In the valley, you can arrange a picnic and have lunch. In the valley, you will meet many shepherds and their herds.
This is one of the most interesting tours in the Kazbegi area, because it allows you to visit some unique points. This trip is interesting but easy, so everyone can participate, even families with children. You can take also children in a baby carrier. Take water and snacks. Be prepared for changeable weather. Bring a jacket and something in case it rains. Take also comfortable sports shoes. The time spent in the car is about 30 minutes and 3 hours and 30 minutes is the time to walk around the visited points. The Dariali Gorge is called the Gate of the Caucasus. We will visit all the most important places of the Gorge and stop at several viewpoints from which we will take fantastic pictures (the Gorge is 1000 meters deep).
