This excursion will allow you to explore the beauty of Vallee de Mai – touted as the heart of Praslin. At the nature park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll have an opportunity to stroll through windy footpaths surrounded by unspoilt nature. Here, you can catch a glimpse of wildlife, including frogs, stick insects, chameleons and many more. You’ll also see coco de mer, a rare palm species with a distinct humanly shape. As you enjoy your nature walk, you can listen to your guide’s commentary about local history and biodiversity.

You'll be able to see the unique coco de mer palm trees with huge double nut seeds. The safe stone-built trail will lead you to discover the reserve's rich flora and fauna, such its six endemic palm species as well as the Seychelles Black Parrot and Seychelles kestrel.

During this experience, you'll hike the Glacis Noir nature trail. You'll be joined by an expert local guide who will share insights as they lead you on the 1.4km trail which offers views of the islands of Cousine and Silhouette and the northeastern coast of St. Pierre and Chauve Souris Island. Along the trail, you'll encounter various native species of plants and endemic birds such as black parrots, bulbuls and blue pigeons. The final 180m of the trail will be the peak of Glacis Noir which is covered in an endemic palm tree forest.
