Experience a magical winter journey through Yellowstone National Park and the famed Lamar Valley, known as the American Serengeti.
Led by guides with decades of expertise in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, you’ll encounter wintering herds of elk, bison, and bighorn sheep amid steaming hot springs and snow-covered peaks. Winter is the best time of year to view Yellowstone wolves. Our tour will focus on Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley, undoubtedly one of the best prime wildlife viewing spots in North America as it harbors impressive wolf packs, large herd os bison, elk, and moose.
In Dec through March Yellowstone wolves become highly viewable and often be seen challenging elk and Bison in Yellowstones famous Lamar Valley. In late Winter Yellowstone starts to comes to life as the temperature gets slightly warmer, the snow starts to melt, grizzly bears start to wake up from a long hibernation. March in Yellowstone is the best time of the season to view the parks population of grizzly bears fighting against wolves for dominance of food resources and attempt to take over the landscape.
