Our Black Beach Riding Tour is an easy-going one hour ride perfectly suited for beginners and people who don’t go horse riding often, but we welcome riders of all abilities. Our horses are friendly and sure-footed, perfect to enjoy the wild Icelandic terrain. In the summer there is a chance to spot puffins flying above us, and in winter the ever-changing weather highlights the rugged beauty of the landscape. The tours are mostly at walking speed, but for those who are capable there is the chance to try some tölt, the special gait of the Icelandic horse. Please note we have a weight limit of 100kg / 220lb, and riders must be aged 10+. We are committed to the welfare of our horses and reserve the right to ask riders to step on a scale. At the high-tech interactive Lava Centre exhibition you will learn about the birth and growth of Iceland as one of the world’s largest volcanic islands. It has risen during millions of years from the submarine North Atlantic Ridge, through countless volcanic eruptions. They occur as a large mantle plume locally adds molten rock to the magma up-flow beneath the rifting segments that line this ridge. The spreading along the ridge results in the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates moving apart 20 kilometres every million years, a fingernail a year. Interact with the volcanoes and feel the trembling of the earthquakes. A fantastic movie displaying the latest eruptions in Iceland and a beautiful observation deck round up a visit not to miss.

Twelve ancient man-made caves have been discovered on the land of Ægissíða by Hella on the South coast of Iceland. Five of them have now been open to the public on our guided tours. The historical site is Iceland's oldest still standing archaeological remains, some believe the caves to date even further back than the settlement of the Nordic Vikings. A zipline ride is a great adventure for all those who love the thrill of doing something challenging but at the same time very safe. The tour starts with a mere 3-minute car ride to the starting point which overlooks one of Iceland's major glacier, Mýrdalsjökull. From there it's a mix of moderate hiking in breathtaking Icelandic landscape through a river canyon named Grafargil. We walk on uneven ground and the ziplines that we've placed on unique places above waterfalls and rivers. We have two ziplines, 240 meters and 140 meters long and in between we have a little adventures, one which we've named The Leap of Faith. In the end, we normally have a very enjoyable walk back to the starting point by the old highway nr.1 While you are whizzing down the ziplines don't forget to look around and below you, because the scenery around you is incredibly beautiful and you will have the birds-eye view of it.

This is a comprehensive glacier tour, where you’ll learn about these massive natural phenomena from your guide and be provided with all the necessary equipment to get some exercise in full comfort and safety.

Feel like you are on top of the world with this day hike that will get the adrenaline pumping. Sólheimajökull is part of the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, which is the 4th largest in Iceland. It has a mixture of ash and ice, which gives it a dark color up close. We will hike around, so you can see various crevasses. This is a meet on location tour, you will meet your guide in the parking lot for gearing up and a safety briefing. This hike is moderately challenging, so we do not recommend for any smaller children and anyone with physical limitations..
