Kagura troupes from Hiroshima Prefecture will perform the traditional performing art of Hiroshima Kagura on a weekly basis. Based on Japanese mythology and classical literature, performers in gorgeous costumes dance gracefully to the accompaniment of lively music. English subtitles are also available, allowing visitors from overseas to experience traditional culture in a more intimate setting. Kyudo is a Japanese martial art based on shooting an arrow from a Japanese bow to a target to reach a complete focus of mind and body. The main difference of kyudo and western archery is that, in kyudo, every movement follows a traditional routine that pays respect to the equipment and to the opponent. You will come to the archery range and dress in an authentic kyudo uniform, which will include dogi—the upper wear—and hakama—the lower wear. I'll give a brief explanation about the art of kyudo as well as instructions and demonstrations. With the knowledge you'll gain, you will learn to shoot arrows at the target. You'll also understand the fun and challenging aspect of the sport, particularly while wearing the traditional hakama and armor. Usually in kyudo, you are not allowed to pull the arrow unless you master the basics. But during our lesson, you will be able to enjoy the real kyudo experience even as a complete beginner. It will be a great time if you are looking for a nice photo or movie to show to your friends.

You can use the bike all day even after the tour. Helmets not required but if you prefer one please let me know ahead of the tour. Saijo is one of the three major sake brewing area in Japan. There are seven sake breweries within walking distance of Saijo Station. You can efficiently tour all the breweries in only two hours while listening to the English speaking guide's explanation about the history and sake of each brewery. You can also sample the sake recommended by each brewery. You can taste various types of sake, such as Daiginjo, Junmai, and Cloudy sake, so you are sure to find your favorite sake. Some of the breweries do not usually offer sake tasting on weekdays, so it is very valuable to be able to sample sake from all the breweries. If there is space available on the day of the tour, you can register up to 4 hours before the tour starts. Please come and find your favorite sake!

Activity take place in 300-year-old Zen temple. Being away from the tourist spot, this place is really quiet and relaxing. Calligraphy has imported to Japan during 6C from China. Learn to draw the line with brush. Check the sample carefully to copy the Chinese charactor. We will ask your name so that we can prepare your name in Japanese Phonetics. Practice your name in Japanese. Write your letter on the rice scoop. Rice scoop(shamoji) is lucky item in Miyajima. Bring back the good luck with you! You can take pictures as much as you want while you are in here, and we will take pictures of you doing the lessons. You can take pictures in our Japanese garden, too. Our lesson is very good introduction to the Japanese authentic cultures. Wearing kimono make it even more special that could be the highlight of your trip.
