Arezzo is famous because Giorgio Vasari was born here, the disciple of Michelangelo, who designed the famous Uffizi and the Vasari Corridor in Florence on behalf of Grand Duke Cosimo I De' Medici.
Our tour's principal stops are as follows:
The city's center square, Piazza Grande, is uniquely typical with its porticoes dating from the sixteenth century.
Piazza del Duomo: this stunning medieval structure, dominating the plaza, houses priceless artwork by Donatello and Piero della Francesca. Arezzo's ancient lanes and streets, where the ambiance of the old goldsmith shops is still palpable.
The most well-known painting by 15th-century painter Piero della Francesca is located in the Basilica of San Francesco, Cappella Bacci. Based on the advice of Dominican priest Jacopo da Voragine, these frescoes tell the story of the True Cross!
How could anyone possibly miss a tour this thorough? Now let's move!
Every shot taken with the pinhole camera is literally unrepeatable: there is no viewfinder or autofocus, just a hole of light that records reality on Fuji instant film. The result is a dreamlike image, blurred at the edges, full of vintage atmosphere — your signature Arezzo postcard. We will walk slowly through medieval squares and hidden alleys; Luca will teach you to read light, choose the frame and calculate the exposure time by hand, transforming photography into an act of meditation. The group of maximum 5 people guarantees space for questions and experimentation. Each participant receives their own set of original prints and a signed pinhole portrait, a souvenir not found elsewhere. No equipment to bring, no skills required: just curiosity and desire to see the world with another time and another look.

The inlaid marble mosaic design on the entire floor of the cathedral is one of the most ornate of its kind in Italy. The floor is thus kept covered for protection, and the uncovered floor can only be seen for a period of six to ten weeks each year.
Within the cathedral complex, you’ll also visit the Piccolomini library, decorated with exquisite frescoes on three of its walls.

You'll be able to view the breathtaking artistic styles of some of Italy's greatest masters like Donatello and Michelangelo. You'll also learn about the ambitious Duomo Nuovo or New Cathedral project. Your ticket will include admission to the Piccolomini Library which was dedicated to Pope Pius II.
