We came to the apartment for two nights and already on the first night we booked two more. It has everything you could ask for, including the two most important things – a very comfortable mattress and an excellent shower with strong water pressure. The rooms are spotless, and even if I tried, I couldn’t find a single bad word to say. It was so good that we booked another two nights for the end of our trip in the area, so from two nights it turned into six.

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, The Olive Yard is set in Gytheio in the Peloponnese Region, 50 km from Kalamata. Monemvasía is 44 km from the property. Beautifully decorated and comfortable hotel a few minutes outside Gythio. George was superb on the front desk and a great help with local info. Delicious breakfast wonderfully served in my lovely room. Great little terrace and a lovely pair of daybeds just inside which must be lovely in the summer. Perfect place to await the ferry to Crete
