Very good location. Apartment was clean and well equipment. Apartment looks exactly like in the pictures. Perfect view to harbour especially during the sunrise. There is self check-in so you can come to the accommodation whenever. I always found park spot near the apartment.

The apartment itself was beautiful it comes with a pool and amazing view and an brilliantly refurbished house. Genuinely every facility within the apartment was gorgeous!! It comes equiped with ac, WiFi , a tv, an equipped kitchen with cutlery and/pots and seasoning. However what made our stay the most enjoyable was how genuinely kind the hosts were. They offered to drive us to and from the airport and were there whenever we needed help or assistance with anything- they are life savers!! We had a power outage on our fourth day, however, they had come and flipped the breaker on and even stayed to double check everything was working (keeping in mind this was at around 10 pm/11 pm) and there were no issues and then proceeded to let us know we could call them regardless of time if it happened again! On top of this when we had arrives to the airport one of the hosts and his son explained different areas to visit and recommended beaches and food spots and even told us about the tallinja app and what kind of bus card we should buy if we needed any. In marsakala there is so many nice restaurants that are extremely affordable like Angelina’s who have an amazing seafood risotto! And the convenience stores in the area are extremely affordable and are open till late. The area is a small village however there is so much to do and the people and are lovely! I would definitely recommend staying at Barcaluna if you come Malta it is worth the money!!! We definitely will be coming again <3

Clean, comfortable and great communication from Lara, the host. Nice selection of places to drink and eat within a five or so minute walk. Bus to Valetta around 40 minutes in total (buses do run on a little bit of flexi time! But that's one of the charms when you're away, isn't it?!) 15 minute cab ride to the airport which cost me €10 (this was at 315am). Handy folder provided by the host with suggestions and a recommendation for a wonderful tour guide, Charmaine - definitely worth taking up this suggestion, she was great value for the knowledge, kindness and personality. Depending on what your plans are for your time in Malta keep in mind the location. If you're wanting to get to the very North of the island on public transport will be a bit of a slog. If driving it's an easy ride. That said, can't be critical as the accomodation is EXACTLY where it says it is when you book it! That's just more abit of advice from my experience. All in all, brilliant place and I highly recommend it and look forward to going back. Lara, thanks very much 🤘

Wonderful apartment - very spacious, clean, perfectly located. Vegetable stand + grocery shop just outside the house. Restaurants at the seafront - 200m. The best ice creams - 300m ;) A lot of parking space. Fabulous balcony - very spacious and a great view. Top quality WIFI. Very helpful apartment owner, always prompt communication. Some food and beverages were available at the check in - super nice surprise. Very important for us specifically: beds with perfect softness (not too soft!) and healthy orthopedic type pillows (!) Great stay overall, probably one of the best locations on the island to travel around sightseeing.

Our stay at this flat was absolutely delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained the space was. The layout was spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was definitely the balcony - a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast with a great view or to simply soak up the sunshine. A large part of the great experience was thanks to the wonderful owners. From the moment we arrived Lorenzo and Cristina were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the flat, from its cleanliness to its thoughtful amenities. Whilst I was there Cristina cooked me and my family an exceptional seafood paella. We enjoyed it thoroughly and I can highly recommend that you take a look at her menu should you decide to dine in the flat.

The property was super clean and modern with all necessary needs for a two week holiday. A nice to have would have been a washing machine but we knew it didn't have one and certainly did not have an impact. It really was superb and have already recommended it to friends.

Dario and Alexia were lovely hosts and very responsive, they provided everything I needed and were very kind. The place was clean, large and comfortable, it had everything that was needed to make food, etc and to wash clothes, etc I had been ill and needed to relax so Dario was very kind and made sure everything was perfect and available. He even provided me with a TV key so that I could watch some programmes in the evening.
