We had a truly lovely stay at Nomads Hideaway. The villa is peaceful, beautifully designed, and surrounded by greenery, giving it a calm, tucked-away feeling. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating this space—from the natural materials to the cozy layout and relaxing garden nook. The hosts were kind, welcoming, and available when needed, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. Although it’s just a short distance from Matara and the beach, the villa feels like a quiet sanctuary—ideal for resting, reading, or simply being present. We only stayed for two nights but felt deeply nourished by the experience. We’d happily return for a longer stay next time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and soulful place to recharge.

I wholeheartedly recommend this amazing place. I am truly happy that it became our first home in Sri Lanka. I came with my children and initially booked the apartment for 5 days, but we ended up extending our stay for another 4 days simply because we didn’t want to leave. Dakshitha was in touch with me on WhatsApp even before our arrival — he answered all my questions and asked what we might need. Every day of our stay was exceptionally comfortable. His family lives on the property, and they are wonderful, kind people who surrounded us with genuine care. This is not just a room — it’s a full townhouse with a private entrance and two large, beautiful bedrooms. Each has everything you need: very comfortable beds, a desk, a mirror, a wardrobe, towels, and a private bathroom. The balcony deserves special mention — it has a beautiful view of the palm trees, and I loved meeting the sunrise and ending the day there, listening to the birds. You also get a fully equipped kitchen with all essentials: dishes, a fridge, a water dispenser — we cooked every day using the air fryer. And the rooftop… it became my favorite place. It’s completely private, spacious, and perfect for yoga at sunrise or under the stars. There is a drying rack upstairs, and the washing machine is on the lower level. An iron and ironing board are also provided. There are air conditioners in each bedroom. Cleaning was done regularly. Honestly, the comfort felt like a 5-star hotel. But the most important part is the host — his excellent English, kindness, and big heart truly make this place special. We are staying in Sri Lanka for a long time, but from now on, I will confidently recommend this place to everyone visiting. Let your love for Sri Lanka begin here :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay! A True Gem! We stayed here 10th Dec 25. This place is pretty cool and it's very very fair for the price.👀 The bed was super comfy. And there was a cooler which allowed us to feel like ❄️ ☃️. And the room was so spacious and clean. Bathroom was super nice. Everything was fire! From start to finish, our stay was phenomenal. The place is wonderfully comfortable, but what truly set it apart was the owner, a sweet lady who is the epitome of cute and kind. She is super good .🥰 She Especially made some yummy yummy cool drinks for us 🤤🤤. We can't wait to return!❤️

Wonderful Stay at SithRu Villa – Highly Recommended! We originally planned to stay just 2 nights at SithRu Villa in Matara, but we ended up extending my stay to 4 nights because the experience was so great! A special thank you to Mr. Mangala, the manager, who made my stay truly enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful and kind – he arranged a van with a very nice and reliable driver so I could explore Matara and the surrounding areas comfortably. It made a big difference in my trip. Mangala also helped me order delicious breakfasts and dinners, which I really appreciated. The food was tasty and freshly prepared, and the service was always warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing – a perfect escape from the busy city life as I live in sjngapore with my family . If you’re visiting Matara, I highly recommend staying at SithRu Villa. The hospitality and service, especially from Mr. Mangala, made this one of the best parts of my trip. I’ll definitely return again!

Priyanthe is an excellent host. The place on its self is very basic (no AC, no hot water), but it is clean and has everything one needs (a personal bathroom, and a simple room with fan and a comfy bed with mosquito net). He and his family prepared us an amazing breakfast, with fruits, eggs, bread, dhal and coconut rice, with fresh coconut water and tea. He was always very supportive, drove us around with his Tuk Tuk, showed us the plants he grows on his terrace and shared with us some interesting insights on the country and on his personal life and future plans. He is a dog lover and takes care of street dogs.

It's very clean (I saw it get cleaned and the sheats changed because I arrived early), the owner is super friendly, breakfast is delicious (possibility to choose between Sri Lankan or western breakfast), there is air-condition and a warm shower. I enjoyed my stay so much! The apartment is very spacious, it also has a private balcony with a nice view to the jungle full of monkeys, squirrels and birds. Vinu's Place is little bit remote from the busiest part of the town - I was surprised at the beginning, but then it made our stay even better. The hosting family is extremely hospitable and caring. Highly recommended!

Vidu and his family are very special people - warm, welcoming, kind and generous. They helped with everything from scooter rental to clothes washing and made us such delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts - we were even joined by a Peacock! Short walk to the beach in a peaceful area. Vidu took us to the local temple which was beautiful and enlightening. Everyone went above and beyond for us and we felt like family. The kind of place you are very sad to leave. Book it before we move in!

The apartment was amazing! We ended up staying 8 days instead of 4. The family were so nice and generous. The wildlife you can see from the balcony is amazing, langurs, macaques, peacocks and all different types of birds. Including a momma cat and her two skinny kitties we ended up feeding a lot! 🥲💔highly recommend this place. So much space in the sitting room to do yoga each morning and then enjoy your breakfast on the balcony.

Nice and clean apartment , worth to the price , there were 3 comfortable beds with seperated rooms, there was a fully equipped kitchen , washing machine , refrigerator also. Hospitality is wonderfull. Special thanks to the guy who helped us during our stay.
