The host was incredibly flexible and kind — we had accidentally booked two apartments, and he kindly canceled one for free just two days before our arrival. He also arranged a delicious dinner even though we confirmed only 50 minutes before getting there! Everything was spotless, and both dinner and breakfast were homemade and delicious. Our kids absolutely loved the experience — the host showed us the glowing light plankton at night, rescued little turtles crossing the road, and even arranged a last-minute night tour to see the big turtles on the beach. He was friendly, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. Afaq Guest House felt like staying with friends — we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oman!

Very good value and wonderfully situated for excellent restaurants. Sur Sea Restaurant (about 100m away) serves some of the best South Asian food I’ve tasted. Highly recommended.
