This was a treat for us. We stayed one night to experience a traditional Japanese room, private onsen and the beauty of the Kurobe gorge. The hotel was beautiful, the staff so lovely and the views mind-blowing. You are right next to the train station too. Oh and the food *chefs kiss*
True Japanese style room, futons on tatami mats with traditional low table and floor seating for food. Also small conservatory attached, with another table and chairs, and french windows so you can walk out onto balcony to view the trains going into the Kurobe Gorge, the river, and the steeply wooded hillsides. Lovely women’s only indoor Onsen, as well as an outside one. Privacy provided by bamboo screening and umbrella roof. Shuttle bus to and from town/ railway station. Brought “bento” breakfast to our room.
Wonderful traditional japanese inn with tatami rooms and large furo bath. Quiet neighbourhood. Serves japanese breakfasts & dinners also.
The bedding is luxurious, the room is larger than a standard Japanese room. Staff speak good English and have a high Standard of customer service. Close proximity to the train station and transport hub.
Stunning modern hotel, but featuring beautiful traditional Japanese features and a hot spring bath. The place was immaculately clean and I loved that my hotel room came complete with its own hinoki bath tub. The staff were lovely also.
Rooms were spacious by Japanese standards. Even had a little corner with a massage cushion which I didn’t have time to try unfortunately. Location was great too with the station just next to it and lots of eateries around even till late.
breakfast was very good and abundant - i love japanese breakfast!! I also loved the fact that they have an inner onsen, that's was the main reason for me to chose the hotel. Easy to go to from the train station, either by bus (cash only, no IC card) or on foot. Good quality/price.
